Wiring a Hob and Oven

Hi.

So I managed to get the 10mm cable paid.

Would be grateful if someone could post a link to what cooker switch and fuse I need please.

How much will a sparky charge to connect fuse and cable in the fusebox?

Is that the main tails there ,the original spark drilled the joists very low

That floating double socket is not great either, €250 should sort out the oven correctly

I'd hazard a guess original 6sq would have done if there's only 2 boost possible simultaneously

I calculated 7.2kw +2kw = 40A , after diversity= 19amps excluding boost

A decent margin of error for boost if there's only 2 . 4 boost simultaneous I suppose might need bigger cable

Manufacturers instructions need checking too maybe they say different

Yes they are the originals.

I put the new 10mm about half way in the joist.

The new 10mm cable is for the hob.

I can use the current 6mm cable and cooker switch for the oven.

What floating double socket?

Why $250? I only need to buy a fuse for the fuse box and a cooker switch.

Then have a sparky to connect the fuse into the fusebox.

Well some people said both the hob and oven could be run off the current 6mm cable.

Others said a separate fuse was needed.

So since in the end I was able to get a cable from kitchen to fusebox. I thought best to err on the side of caution.

That's the original work afaik which isn't great

Joists drilled low and connectors shoved into cavity

That 10sq looks very close to the plasterboard in the last joist, maybe its just the angle...?

Also, do we even want to know why your joists have shims on one side?!
