    Yeah agreed.

Early in the season and I’m already convinced them and Everton are already gone.

Luton close to the worst team I have ever seen in premier league. BT talking up some kind Cinderella story of them getting a result was cringeworthy embarrassing. Spurs were all over them with 11 and 10 men bar 1 good chance for Luton. Luton will be lucky to get 20 points in the season.

Agreed, even 20 points seems a monumental task to that side, very very poor...

Seriously, did Onana win a competition to get in goal for Man Utd?

Onana with another howler. This could be Ten Hags last game.

Bruno is a very good player on his day but when things aren't going well I wouldn't like him as a teammate at times. If he doesn't get the ball all the teammate sees is eyes rolled up to heaven.

At least Toney is not playing for Brentford, if he was then it would be a tough ask to come back, they might still win but they are a hard watch if you are a Utd fan. They have spent a cast fortune and it looks a mixture of not too bothered or not being too good. Inter got Onana on a free, I am not sure if he was worth that from what I have seen.

Ten Hag has tried to give his defence as much security as he can, and they still mess up.

Double DMs, no inverted full backs.

But you can't stop shít players being shít. Onana horrendous but I've no idea how Lindelof or Casemiro don't clear that.

They won't sack him yet, Mourinho and particularly Ole were giving chance after chance. But it's very difficult to see it go on as it is for much longer, we're now a few months into his 2nd season and I'm still not fully sure what way he wants his team to set up...If you look at Ange at Spurs for example, it's very clear from the off what style he wants to implement on his Spurs side. Ten Haha seems to jump, from a counter attack with a low block, to a intensity press with a high line, they then try to play out from the back getting players in the ball into central positions (a bit like City) but within a few passes of this not working it's hoofed over the top every time. I was looking at their Brighton game a few weeks back and after 20 minutes of decent enough play, he decided to switch it up and went traditional with wingers getting to the by line and putting in cross after cross, this was after 20 minutes of decent play and actually creating chances going through the middle...

Burnley being taken apart. They managed 101 points last year, but look a completely different team now, devoid of what made them such a good team last year.

Unbelievable that's the result that saves Ten Hag and its the much maligned McTominay

McTominay winner assisted by Maguire saving Ten Hag.

    Tis a funny old game

I was warned and it was still worse than I expected.

Happily scrolling through Facebook and somebody posted the pic. Horrific. Hope he can make a full recovery

I see Ten Hag took a couple of big slices of humble pie today.

Extraordinary injury given that there was no challenge from an opponent, unlike the Busst incident where there was an accidental collision between he and Schmeichel. It's hard to guess the extent of the (Basham) injury.

.... Do you mean mediocre, championship level opponents every week?

Just watching MOTD. Two of the players Ten Hag tried to get rid of, come to the rescue for him.

They sure did, only a stay of execution though.

The way things are going, I can't see him lasting much longer. Not sure he can turn around their form. Too many issues with too many players.

Bashams leg looked like a fcukin FIFA glitch. Awful

Ten Haag is a goner. Only a matter of time.

All the talk of attacking possession football and he played 6 defensive minded players at home to Brentford. Says a lot.

Was there not an incident in the Chelsea game yesterday where the referee stopped the game, after it has restarted, while the check on a goal was ongoing?

If so, it's clear that last week's incident has changed the rules. For the better.

Cracker of a goal for Brighton

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 282 ✭✭Lauras Law

That’s an astonishingly elementary viewpoint, don’t you think? I suppose using your own logic you probably think ten Hag picked attacking teams in the 3 games prior to the Brentford match since he only started 3 defenders in each of those matches?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,869 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Brentford ALWAYS play a back 5 against the bigger clubs.

ETH countered this by playing an extra defender himself, and one he tried to sell in Maguire.

It tells me a lot tbh.

How does Gross not even get a yellow for that penalty? He just hauled Szobolozi down as he was going to put it into the net? The keeper was out of position and only a defender on the line...

Gross should be sent off according to the rules.
