And that is a genuine concern. We all know that his cultist terrorists are prone to violence and a history of murder and attempted murder. He even suggested they murder a political opponent.(remember that cultists when you spout out you lame memes about banana republics)

McDonalds could mess up his Big Mac order and he’d find a way to accuse them of election interference

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,727 ✭✭✭amandstu

McDonalds could claim he was obviously exaggerating his order for effect and that he only really wanted a shiť pancake.

John Kelly finally going to town on Trump. Not that it will make any difference.

33% are democratic voters, no chance of voting for a republican. 33% are Republican voters and most will vote for Donald, God knows why, but any way. The other 33% are undecidededs. Surely, surely, there is enough mud sticking to Donald for the undecideds to go "No way am I voting for him!".

Somehow, he survived "Grab em by the pussy", Mostly because Hilary was unlikeable and ran a terrible campaign, and there might have been some Russian interference.

He can't really survive all of this can he?!? Can he?

    Could he?

And, as always, Jesus portrayed as a white guy (and slightly chiselled?), as opposed to the brown, Middle Eastern man he undoubtedly was. It's never that hard to figure why American Christians Conservatives can be so uncharitable & racist - given their own religion is foundationally racist. The iconography washes the ethnicity of its own Messiah.

So one of his Lawers Alina Habba showed up with a high end gaming laptop that has quite a bit of RGB lighting on its case and keyboard and it was flashing through colour changes throughout the day, ironically this means it was continuously cycling through a rainbow sequence.

Only the best people. That lawyer might've been the one to forget to ask for a Jury trial, too.

I can't believe Jesus forgot to tick the box saying Trump wanted a jury trial....

Why is Fabio in court beside Mr Trump?

Yet another one whose legal experience involved representing parking lot owners, and has a degree from a bottom 25% law firm. But, she lived in Bedminster. A bottom 25% law firm seems to be the kind TFG likes - Michael Cohen went to Cooley, often regarded as the worst law school in the US, and that's saying a lot. Most recent class had a less than 80% bar passage rate, that's dregs.

It's not just Americans. I've a younger family member who once said that if Black Americans didn't like how the Police treated them, they should go back to Africa. A large portion of my family adores Trump. They're too tightfisted to give him any money but plenty of Christians love him outside the US IME.

Personally, I feel like I've been vaccinated against Christianity given how quickly they debased themselves for him.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

If he’s sitting that close to trump, I can see him taking him to court for sexual assault soon enough.

Trump: Nobody in history has been more unfairly prosecuted than me!

Is the defence that the banks were repaid the loans which were obtained by massively overstating the asset values thereby somehow making the overvaluation ok? Seriously?

When you Rob a bank and pay it all back in installments, you've still broken the law

Basically yes - They are saying "It doesn't matter that we lied on the paperwork , because we paid off the loans anyway" which of course is bollocks.

They are also trying to suggest that because they had a sort of "Caveat Emptor" disclaimer on their loan paperwork they are protected from any Fraud claims.

If a normal person forged an income declaration to get a bigger mortgage , it wouldn't matter if they were able to make the payments , they would still be guilty of Fraud.

A combination of that plus "They should have known I was lying anyway so really it's their fault for believing me."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

You have to admire his defence "Buyer Beware" clause everything in our contracts is a lie it your own fault for us conning you.

Isn't the issue that he undervalued the assets on his tax returns and used higher values for the bank loans?

So NY state is alleging he paid too little taxes based on his own valuation of his assets?

lol @ thinking the banks just took his word for it before approving loans wort millions of Dollars. The banks own appraisers valued the properties and never had any complaints. Trump’s valuations never defrauded anybody. There hasn't been a single entity that filed suit claiming they were damaged by the valuations.

You can't have a defraud case if no one claimed to be defrauded. Nobody give a rats ass whether these charges are wrong or right. Anyone with eyes and common sense can see what’s happening after the judge made , according to real estate experts , the decisional claim that maga lago was worth $18m. The takeaway here is Corrupt political persecution and election interference is fine and dandy if its being perpetrated against other side.

“Eighteen million dollars? That’s totally stupid. That’s ridiculous. You could sell it for $250 million tomorrow,” Jeff Greene, a Palm Beach billionaire and real estate developer who lives nearby and was once a Mar-a-Lago Club member, told The Messenger. Greene ran for Senate in 2010 and governor in 2018 when he attacked Trump in a major ad buy.

The Judge didn't make the claim that Mar-a-Lago was valued at 18m, a property valuer hired by Trump valued it as between 18m-28m, and Trump used that valuation in order to calculate taxes because it meant paying less tax.

That's the crux of the case, it's an important detail to get right.
