I have the height measurements of my little niece and nephew on one of my kitchen walls, they live abroad so are not over often. Everytime I look down at the wall I laugh.

But not because of their heights - it is because there are lot of faded pencil scribbles just above the skirting board. The place where the little miss herself insisted on 'measuring' 'Sheepy', the cuddly toy.

We have a thread here in After Hours about old Irish dramas. May have been produced decades ago and having the likes of a young Gabriel Byrne or young Colin Farrell when they were not so famous.

But alas some of these are near impossible to get these days. Never mind DVD even a VHS could not be found.

I remember a masterful production on RTE in 1998 about the 1798 rebellion. Cathal O´Shannon (you young ones may not remember him 😋) was narrator. I wanted to watch this again for years and years. I emailed RTE several years ago but I got no reply pah! I was quite happy to pay for a DVD set, wasn't looking for a freebie. I love history and this was a superb production

My TH is I go on youtube and someone uploaded it on August 19th so a month ago. I was looking for this for 20 years! I saw a thread tonight in After Hours and tried Youtube and it's there.

    Timing is perfect huzzah!

Between walking to and from work and the same to the training course, I've racked up almost an hour and a half in exercise time!!!!!!!!!!!

That there are still people who care enough about strangers to pick up lost things like hats and gloves, and put them on a wall or hang them on a fence so they're visible.

I even saw a hubcap today, picked up and put gently against the wall so its visible from the road, in case its owner is looking for it. Havent seen that in yonks.

I saw a pair of man's shoes on a wall. I'm not sure how someone could lose their shoes and not notice, unless they changed them to go for a walk?

Anyway, they were left in a visible place.

After losing sleep during the week, with the dread of doing this task today I tried on most of my formal wear.

Most will not have been worn in 5 years min and the latest are expensive(for my budget)! except for some buttons and hems need adjusting they all still fit.

Some steps still to go but this is a weight off for when I'll need this type of clothing closer to Christmas.

Had to cancel my upcoming nights away, I tried to cancel the train ticket online but got a non-sensical error message.

My heart sank when I was directed to their phone CS service, call was picked up after 2 rings and cancellation message arrived before I hung up

The weather today, bright, sunny, dry and a comfortable temperature. I'd love a few weeks of this.

My friend just messaged to say she will pick up my favourite takeaway coffee in the morning and bring it in to work for me...it really is the little things.☕

Told my boss that I really hope to leave on time because of the coming storm. Boss looks out the window, says “it’s nice out now, just go”. Didn’t need to be told twice. I got to the bus stop just as my bus arrived, and I even got a seat. Wonders never cease.

My phone browser restarted and I lost about 25 tabs I've had open for months for various reasons.. Some things I wanted to go back and read when I got more time, or something I was interested in buying and was keeping an eye on. Lost them all.

I feel so free now though. Feels like a fresh start. 😂

I do that. I leave tabs open to do when I’ve more time . Its great just to close them

Tired dogs. Took them to the beach with the ball flinger for a good hour and a half earlier and they're both absolutely flaked on the couch since.

Was passing through Victoria station on Thursday and someone gave me a free Pepsi Max. Not overly fond of the stuff but a freebie is a freebie.

I only take a passing interest but I’m happy Europe won the Ryder Cup… the behaviour of US players, officials, caddies & fans etc at and around the course has been well short of anything sporting…pretty grim from them actually for such an important and high profile event…even with skullduggery and scummy antics they couldn’t break the European lads who seem like a good bunch and just play golf, not the mind games and dirty tricks of the aforementioned…
