I do think people have taken leave of their senses when it comes to dogs. Dog buying mania esp around lockdown means that rescues are full of impulse-bought dogs and now dogs are suffering due to the stupidity of their "loving" ex owners.

Humdinger of an accent on this American guest

Where did they find this screeching bansí and why did they think it was a good idea to put her on radio

For the hat trick of posts:

what sort of mawkish, vomit inducing cheesey ,horse manure flavoured “music” is this to start off the show

Nah, Luke had already made his nut already selling that bio-med company.

    Yip.

But he LOVES the attention. He is might be a bio chemist. But he is a poor radio presenter.

Wish he'd get back to medicine and leave the airwaves alone. Tired of his insufferably smug "you see" tone.

hang on, Sean goes from “think of the children !!!” pearl clutching about this Telegram right to a chirpy Aussie teaching us all Dildo technique?

Adult solo activities vs free for all online platform with child porn, guns, drugs whatever. Yeah they're like the exact same thing. 🙄

Is there any archive of what movies and tv shows they discuss on movies and booze? I get quite annoyed as they'll often introduce something and quickly name it, and then spend 5 minutes discussing it without mentioning the name once more. If you miss the start you're snookered. I have no idea why they refuse to sum it up at end or namedrop it throughout.

Currently the most stretched out interview I've ever heard… Talking to a woman who made a cup of tea in an air fryer. It only took one sentence to get that point across. Now it's just painful, both people saying the words air and fryer repeatedly until enough airtime is filled.

Barbara Scully on Sunday Miscellany this morning. Pretty unbearable there as well.

Get rid of the wine slot, news round the world slot is very depressing famine in country x protestors sent to jail in country x, women's rights under attack in country x, I have to skip that one . moncrieff is the funniest presenter on Irish radio but he s like totally uncool ,he had slighty old fashioned views on some topics . Help I'm an adult slot is sometimes weird and funny . I think newstalk has the only gay presenter on national radio for the ,I m an adult help slot . The moncrieff best of podcast is very interesting or at least entertaining

Can't say I have ever been a fan of the wine slot. But some people seem to love it.

I think the News Around The World slot is on of the best segments on the show. Depressing or not.

The Help I am an Adult or what ever it is called now is not great TBH. I don't mind Buckley, but Scully is a hard no.

The Moncreiff show has TWO gay contributors as far as I am aware.

TV slot is fine, but I much preferd it when it was anchored by the ex Irish Times Culture editor.

Parentling slot should have been retired when David Carey died same with the food slot when Paolo Tullio died.

I think the show is a little stale at the moment. The format hasn't had a rejig in the last 10 years.

II think the parenting slot is useful to anyone who might have problems bringing up up children .I do,not listen to the whole program ,mostly best of podcast or help I m an adult slot .it's been the same program for at least 7 years . I can't watch the news on tv ,it's too depressing trump tariffs climate change and women,s minority rights are under attack in America .

Is the orientation of a presenter really all that important? I only know the SYAA section has one as he bangs on about it all the time. At least he's more tolerable than snobby Babs banging on about being repressed by the patriarchy.

Movies and booze turns into a booze fuelled mess with ill informed movie reviews. The one with Henry dashing around vox popping some inane issue should be dropped.

Overall the show is a relief from wall to wall coverage of whatever brain fart the orange one comes out with on a daily basis, agree it needs a refresh.

Movies and booze used to be one of my favourite segments on radio but it has gone a bit dull.

I think it has a lot to do with the standard of films. There are so many weeks now that Sean and crew literally have to say "Let's get this piece of crap reviewed and move on".

Henry has really done well with the VOX box bit. He has made a whole career out of old rope.

I am not really a fan of Henry or his work.

I think Movies and Booze, is something that is more fun for the show and producers, then the audience.

Well I hope all of you who derided Henry McKeen are feeling bad about yourselves now.

He's just after spending 5 minutes talking about how he pissed himself a little bit and now he's talking to a lad who can barely string two words together about Wayne Rooney pissing on the road.

He always seems to pick people for interview who probably have the maddest heads up on them.
