What time was that? Looks like a big operation but there's no evidence left this morning. It looks like the entrance to Love Lane, which is a hangout for under age drink parties etc.

Reports of gunfire in cashel Court last night! Tipp fm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 9,442 ✭✭✭cml387

According to Tipp FM's unconfirmed sources, it was possibly linked to ant i social behaviour in the sportsground's playground. For some reason there is a deliberate gap left in the fencing allowing access from the narrow lane off Cashel Court to the sportsground. It is as I said an area of antisocial activity for quite a while.

Supposedly some guy living in that estate has been an informant against biker gangs. There's been stuff going around online for a few months about him. So I presumed last nights action was connected to that.

It was a fair amount of Garda vehicles if it was something to do with anti social behaviour at the sportsground.

One presumes it was a legally held gun. He won't have it now anyway whoever he is.

I heard it was a certain group that were out attempting to steal dogs who were shot at. They had been spotted around the area with a while and had already attempted to steal the dogs. Was told names of all involved but won't put up here.

Funnily enough , i saw a lad this morning running after his dog up the rugby hill road shouting that it had been taken and that he knew they had been the thieves.

So basically keep an eye on your dogs.

Between drug dealing stealing of dogs burglaries, the town would be a lot safer with that protected minority locked up, not that it will ever happen

Well you heard wrong. I’m afraid the actual truth is a lot less exciting than biker warfare, stealing dogs or drug dealing and didn’t involve any minorities. Just the usual nonsense that goes on this time of year with bangers and fireworks.

Saw some fireworks going off near me a month ago. Haven't seen them going off since.

Going off up by the rugby club the whole time. Very annoying and scares the kids and dogs.

I don't know if anyone has been into the Museum in Mick Del Square recently. There is an exhibition there at the moment of some of the vast collection of photographs by the late Paddy "the Flash" Cashin. I think the photos on display date from the 1970's up to about 1983.

If you're of a certain age and grew up in Clonmel, you'll recognise many of the faces in it. Even if you're a bit younger, you might enjoy how it all looked back in the day.

One thing jumps out to me from the photos - no obese people and very few overweight people, despite plenty of pints in many of the photos!

    What happened to us?

    Anyway, enjoy.....

Originally from Killurney near Ballypatrick, former model has published a few book. Genuinely a lovely person.

Anything else you need to know you could try that new thing all the cool kids are using. Think it's called Google or something like that

WTF happened at the west gate on Thursday was it a stolen car or lads who were coming from somewhere they shouldn't have been or just idiots who couldn't drive, crashed and ran?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,059 ✭✭✭Recliner

Irish model, author, radio presenter from Tipperary. Don't know her personally, but by all accounts she's meant to be a very nice person.

Do you have a specific reason for asking or was Google unable to help you.

Were they caught? (Not that being caught seems to even bother them these days).
