Nearest one is 30 minutes but that’s a good suggestion and would be much safer for expensive items like a phone etc.

Tbf delivery drivers will tell you anything. From experience many of them are spoofer

That sounds mental OP, an odd delivery error maybe unfortunate but it sounds like all your deliveries are going there? Sounds like there's a possible underlying issue. Have you double checked on Google maps that your address/Eircode is showing the correct house?

As said above, your contract is with the seller. You shouldn't be chasing couriers or neighbours at all, and TBH I wouldn't even bother going near the neighbours house anymore. Just claim refunds from the seller if items are not delivered. Pay with Paypal only for added protection and to avoid any hassle on the refund front.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Unfortunately many retailers will stop selling to you if you have multiple claims for unreceived goods. PayPal will also dump you if you have repeated claims.

Most companies scanners use gps, They can look up the coordinates in a few seconds and see where the package was delivered or close enough to it. If there's a decent enough gap from your house to theirs, mention that to the courier company if talking to them on the phone. They usually get the drivers to call back in and get the package back.

I'd be looking through their green bin on bin day or late at night if they put it out and seeing if any of the recycled packaging has your name and address on it and getting some pics for the guards.

Eircode is showing correctly but the houses are relatively close. There has always been a bit of an issue but the previous occupants were great and always dropped the stuff up to me if there was a mistake. Problem seems to be far worse now.

It’s fine to say go back to vendors but some of them ignore emails and if you ring you are left on hold forever. Very frustrating. I will keep PayPal in mind

The drivers have gone back a few times in recent months trying to get the packages back and they won’t answer the door to them unfortunately

Get their house registered on one of the swingers websites. Set up a few events.

Sit back and enjoy tons of people turning up with bags of dildos.

We are rural and use a house name.

My in-laws sent a parcel from abroad. It had our name, local village and eircode only and got to us

Definitely chase suppliers for lost items. The likes of oil should should have been signed for

No matter how close the houses, in these days of Eircodes and SatNav there's really no excuse for that level of courier mistakes.

As others have suggested, maybe try and add a unique name to your house and get this included in the official address. An Post look after the official postal address system and should be able to advise you on the process.

    "Post and Parcels enquiries

    Call 353 (1) 705 7600

    Monday to Friday 9.00-5.30

    (Phone lines closed between 1.00 & 2.00)

    Saturday 9.00-2.00"

Tbf my eircode lands at my neighbours right next door. Only his house name means they drive another 20 meters.

That would wreck my head, just contact Eircode to get it fixed.

If you placed an online order and added a note to specifically make sure it came to your house and they still fucked it up, then I'd be looking at getting a chargeback on that.

Some oil companies will do cash on delivery.

As other posters have said use a name instead of a number, maybe leave out the eircode.

You could also put a description of your house in the address e.g. "THE HOUSE WITH THE RED DOOR ONLY".

Get large, cheap, useless items sent to your house to test the above.

If it still goes to the neighbours and all they get is junk, then they might be more reluctant to accept it.

    Also glitterbombs🙂.

Post something expensive looking with a tile or apple air tag in it 😂

That is awful behaviour from the neighbours:(

Sure the swingers will probably turn up at the OP's house then.

IKEA van deliveries do a great thing - they take a pic of the items inside your home, then they take a pic of your front door for their records. The guy said they started doing it since they were stung out of a full kitchen and appliances where the delivery address said they never arrived.

The OP probably wont mind that too much, could have a few fun nights from it.

Anyway OP, my mother never changed the number etc on her house, after my grandfather passed away she took a plaque from his house as a reminder of him and I hung it on her house and about 3/4 months later the eircode site updated their website to include the name of the house without any notification from anyone.

Sadly my experiences of OOHPod, some parcels get through, I have had a endless battle with Amazon Couriers, too bloody lazy to use the lockers. Last issue was with fastway and Temu. Got my parcels but too much hazzle.

Parcel Motel had a great setup. .

    OOHpod Experiences.

    1st Location South Dublin

... was near an Apartment Block, parcels went misssing and deliver to residents in Apartment. Had one that was delivery by fedex, parcel went back to depot due to small lockers at OOHpod location.

I collected same at Fedex depot in Dublin.

    2nd Location Sandyford

Due to location, OOHpod is in the ALDI CARPARK, Due to height restriction Couriers are getting lazy to walk up pretend they cant find it or address unkown
