Mira shower filter leaking water

Has anyone on here ever encountered the Mira elite shower leaking or spraying water out of the filter?

At the bottom is the filter than can be twisted off and cleaned if ever needed. I've unscrewed it, all clean, screw it back on right but water is streaming out of it when shower is running.

Who would be best to examine it? A plumber or a shower seller?

Google the thermal cut out switch, it most likely is that and it's an easy cheap fix. If it's not that then most likely replace the shower.

It's not the filter that is leaking. Inside the shower above the filter is the pump elbow. This is the part that needs replacing. It is one of the many known issues with the Mira Elite QT. You can expect to pay around €120 parts & labour

If you continue to use the shower while leaking then you will most likely short out the solenoid. This will add around €25 to the repair if it needs replacing

It worked for me by the way. Bought that part and local plumber fitted it.

I’m having the same issue! Is it possible to replace the elbow pump yourself? I’d it easy to do?

Not the hardest part to replace in that shower. It can be tricky to seat the motor back in place. Some people might have to do it several times before it's water tight
