Buspar (Buspirone) availability in Ireland?

Hi guys, I would love to give this medication a shot for anxiety instead of SSRI's Does anyone have any experience getting this medicine in Ireland? It's available in the US and UK but my GP said he never heard of it and couldn't prescribe it. Hoping I can get a script here. Cheers!
