Moving From Private to Public sector

    Hi All,

    About 2 to 3 years ago I moved from the private IT sector to the public IT sector.

    I took a fairly hefty pay decrease in doing so(which I knew would be the case).

    However when I took the role my previous IT experience wasn't counted so I started on grade 1 of the scale.

    I didn't question/fight it at the time because I happy to get the job and suited my personal situation.

    I suppose my question is would anyone know, have I left it too late to request that experience be counted?
