Just out of interest what salary could a domestic BER Assessor with a low level of experience in the West of Ireland expect to receive?

It wont be a salary, it will per job, and it depends what the market will bear price wise.
There is the trainin cost and then the initial registration fee/ annual fee and annual insurance which you need to keep active for X years after you stop being an assessor
