Factory Rates/Grading

Hi,

Beginner question here, want to get to grips with the basics of dealing with factories and agents.

May be helpful to others too.

Can someone run through the layout of the docket from the factory and explain each section.

How do you know if you're getting the QA and other bonuses or a flat rate?

Does age matter once you're getting a flat rate?

If you bought the farmers journal they have a share of the details you are looking for ,all your animals grades and deductionswill be shown clearly on your docket the factories are vety honest in that regard ,Basically consider what is the worst yoir cattle will grade and if they grade better that is a bonus .There are no flat rates this year unless cows

Whatever about price, I could never fault the factories on weight or grade once the animal was presented in the correct condition.

2 factories locally here about 20 miles apart. Unbelievable difference in fat score and grading. Well known locally for it

I don't think any two factories are the same....you would imagine all machines would be the same.....a fukin joke....

It needs to be bought in under the nsai for weights and measures with more spot checks

That a liffy meats docket the fact you getting 480 for the Os(O- worth lot less than O+) and 500 Rs would suggest to me you were on flat price or bulls.

You didn't get QA on first because he was lacking flesh at 2=

You got 6 cent of a bonus for been a R+ on the other.

As previously said back page of fj has the grades payment plan in it or Google "slaney meats qps grid" where it's well explained too.

Basically R- & R= are base price and it's 6 cent+or- for every part grade after that.

Fat score from 2+ to 4+ (Gets tricky on Bad Os) you get Qa
