I think it was that Morning Joe loon who said Trump would have his political opponents shot if he could get away with it.

Trump was mostly bark and no bite, I dont recall any of his polticial opponents being jailed or even punished.

Biden on the other hand, the folsky Uncle Joe routine is all an act the man has a vicious temper and a foul tongue.

And this is where you jump the shark. Do you remember 'Lock her up' and the months and millions spent investigating Hilary Clinton? or the pathetic way he mocked a disabled reporter? Or 'Fine People'? and that's just his behavior he has literally committed crimes in plain site.

It’s hard to know whether or not to take that the Trump supporters here seriously but assuming they are..

Trump all bark, no bite? First outgoing president who sent a mob to stop the incoming president being certified

Indicted for this as well as trying to persuade a governor to “find” more votes so he could win Georgia

Convicted rapist, the only outgoing president who took top secret documents and refused to return them, despite court supeanas , a clear Russia agent but yes, nothing to see here.

How is it a stitch-up? Large portions of these crimes were committed in plain sight. The gobshíte was asking basically asking for it.

Eric Hoffer wrote a book called the true believers in 1951, if you ever read it (there are three editions) you can get some answers.

Doesn't just apply to trump supporters of course, you see the same traits in supporters of people like putin, farage, le pen and some of our home grown díckheads like hermin.

Lately, I think most recent rally, Trump had the audience singing bullsh*t along with him when the subject of his indictments came up. But sure, Biden is foul tongued. I also recall Trump ranting and throwing ketchup at the wall over having lost to "That f*cking corpse."

But, yeah, Biden's foul tongued. Get up the yard with that nonsense. "Grab 'em by the p*ssy," one of Trump's fouler spews, was never denied by him just minimized ("Locker room talk" lie),

So the theory is that the Democrats, led by Joe Biden, made Trump take the classified documents and then made him lie to the FBI through his lawyers, and then made Trump hide the documents and lie about them?

And Biden also got Trump to call the governor of Georgia to look to make up votes?

And Biden arranged for Trump to try to get Pence to overrule the constitution and then turn Pence and Ivanka and many other staff?

And that even before taking office, despite Trump being in power and making multiple across SCOTUS, the DOJ, judges etc, was able to set up all this?

If you believe all that, surely that proves how utterly useless Trump was at draining the swamp.

Decrepit, senile ol Joe, got more done in a few weeks than Trump did in 4 years.

Or maybe, just maybe, this is all Trumps own fault and he should be answerable for his actions. Instead of being a complete snowflake and blaming everyone else for his problems.

Well according to the reasons given by the lawyer of one of the Jan 6 attackers as to why someone would believe and repeat Q stuff, you aren't far off the mark.

However I can't speak as to the process in the states, but here it is near impossible to get someone sectioned, even if it is what they really need for their wellbeing unless they are being violent or a serious danger to themselves.

I've always called this the humour thread becuase of trump's actions, which are still amusing, however the spinning going on by his remaining "not supporters" is even funnier.

Biden is now the genius pulling all the strings and making trump do stupid things.

I bet they secretly can't wait for trump to be behind bars or forced out by health issues so they can reregister to hide their blushes.

I think it was that Morning Joe loon who said Trump would have his political opponents shot if he could get away with it.

    Facts.

So your crackpot theory is that the DOJ, Special Counsel, NY AG and GA AG are all in cahoots, scheduling these grand juries, selecting grand jurors, scheduling arguments, subpoenaing and quarreling with witnesses who fight against testifying etc. - then they timed when the grand juries were finally able to conclude on indictments to coincide with 'heat on Biden' (whatever that means) within such and such a time frame? Did they get indictments from grand juries and then just what... sit on them, until Joe Biden tripped over a sandbag so they could 'take the heat off him,' by controlling when the defendant would post on Truth social about receiving a target letter and such and such?

Doesn't seem very plausible does it. Please give your head a wobble.

Well their other great hope desantis is seeing a serious money hemorrhage occurring and top republican doners holding back money as they see him as a one trick pony that is alienating voters.

Whilst trumps brain farts are entering to an extent and are providing evidence against him, they have been responsible for a number of people being killed in violent confrontations with law enforcement since Jan 6th and the document recovery in Florida.

His supporters and not-supporters have no care or use for Democracy: their views are unpopular and so are their policies, democracy will never get them what they want. To them, anything to expand voting access to constitutionally eligible voters is a "naked power grab." They want the tinpot authoritarian, they need the tinpot authoritarian, because it's their only shot. Most of them now are openly saying it, it's not even a secret anymore, the coconspirators in the DC indictment said as much - 'these theories are not legal, they will fail at court anyway, but we should to it, seek an outcome to take electoral votes away from Biden, and if people riot because law and order is devolving, well we will just use the armed forces to crack down on them, easy peasy.'

Nevermind that its ungrounded from reality, or relies on some pretty serious assumptions like the military will go along with this crap, or that the US wouldn't become an overnight pariah state, but that's what they wanted, it's what the voters want too. The supporters and the not-supporters still wanna lock her up too, 'got all the proof we need' etc. And at least half of them, want a civil war, because they think the gravy seals will win against 'the libs' in an open fire situation. And there have, indeed, been a few incidents that seem indicative of political tensions boiling over to gunfire.

Gotta change the script: these people do not care about preserving democracy or spreading democracy abroad for that matter, and most of them don't even recognize a constitutional republic as a form of representative democracy, "we aren't a democracy we're a republic" #lovethepoorlyeducated

Trump's wild tactic: yeah can I have a SCIF at Mar a Lago, so I can properly handle the evidence against me in the case where I mishandled and destroyed classified documents?

You've gotten plenty of detailed responses but it's back to the one liners. 🤣 Donald Trump is facing charges in multiple states. That's not because of an elaborate conspiracy, it's because the numerous investigations did everything to the letter of the law to guarantee successful prosecutions and that can take years as a process. This has definitely been explained to you previously.

Trump did try and failed to get Clinton locked up. The reality was there was not a strong case against her. Meanwhile there's a sufficient enough case against Trump that he'll be up to 90 charges in the next few weeks. And they're not minor charges and relate to election interference etc. Doesn't it say a lot about how he's fallen when it's just you and Eskimo defending this? 🤣

Somewhat ironic that your claim that Repubs are funnier is basically "I know you are but what am I".

    Do you entirely lack self-awareness?

It will backfire and Trump will be elected president next year.

Amnesty International’s new investigation shows that Israel imposes a system of oppression and domination against Palestinians across all areas under its control: in Israel and the OPT, and against Palestinian refugees, in order to benefit Jewish Israelis. This amounts to apartheid as prohibited in international law.

Imagine lowering one's self to GIFS instead of discussion on a discussion forum.

    It won’t happen.

Simple reason. Look at the amount of supporters that come to his many court visits.

If he was going to President next time around, there’s no chance there’d be nearly more journalists covering the events than supporters, which is happening now.

He’s lost the centre, and you can’t win anything when you’ve lost the centre. There’ll be a higher drive for Dems to get out the vote for fear he wins.

It was more than your post deserved...

But let's, for discussion purposes, lean into your argument.

On what basis will "it" backfire?

Do you believe trump did what he is accused of?

Do you care if he did?

Where is the evidence that he will be re-elected because of the charges?

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

It must be said that if this was in fact one giant conspiracy organised by the Democrats, including rigging the election in multiple states, framing Trump for these obvious crimes, organising biased grand juries and choosing unfavourable judges, it would be the greatest conspiracy ever organised, considering there isn't one shred of evidence that it exists. It surely would make Joe Biden one of the great geniuses of all time, rather than a senile old man as the MAGA-ites would have you believe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,110 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

Evidence doesn't matter to these hair brained simpletons. They've been fed a line that they desperately cling to, despite all the facts staring them in the face, and you can't appeal to a mind like that. It's too far gone.

As for Biden he's, at once, a senile old fool and a next level conspiratorial genius, depending on how his detractors want to frame him. When the reality is that he's been a fairly milquetoast presidential figure who's been anything but the caricature that these crazy maga fuckwits try to paint him as.

Can you explain what is the stitch-up?

Which of the current indictments against Trump are the stitch-up? The classified documents case? The one where he's on tape admitting that he's showing classified material to people who shouldn't see it?

The Jan 6th case? Where there's written details of the plan for "alternative" electors?

What, about the functioning of the legal process, is anti-democratic?

Or is it just a case, as you claimed after he was found to be a rapist, that the law is irrelevant?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,412 ✭✭✭PropJoe10

You're not wrong. Joe is both a senile old man that doesn't know where he is, and at the same time a genius that has orchestrated the biggest conspiracy in US electoral history. You'd think that if some of these MAGA people actually sat down for a second, took off their orange tinted glasses and thought about how ridiculous the whole thing is, they might finally come to their senses. But nope. There's a very dangerous form of groupthink going on there. I dont know how people can continue to be so blind to facts and yet open to any conspiracy theory that crosses their social media feeds.

I reckon Trump was secretly planted by the Democrats to bring the Republicans into disrepute.

They told him to keep state documents in his house, they scripted all the garbage that he spouts, especially the self-incriminating stuff, they made him make stupid comments before world leaders and get laughed at.

No, that was organised too, all the world leaders were approached and asked to laugh at him during his speech, which they did. Yeah that works.

They forced him to make inflammatory speeches at the crowd on Jan 6, though his security detail slipped up and would not let him go to the actual riot, so he went back to the WH where the Democrats made him watch it on tv and would not let him talk to his followers when it began to get a bit out of hand.

So much organisation and so many people paid to support him, actors like the pillow guy and Sidney Powell - they were almost too much, more cartoon characters than convincing players. The level of plotting and attention to detail required to bring it all to where it is today. And really, its not working, Republicans bought it wholesale and believe this whole charade.

Convict in chief... It ain't happening, 2020 was a disaster for him and he's only gotten more deranged. The kind of account that's backing him is sign enough of how much his reputation has dwindled.

Sure didn't the Democrats arrange for the entire world to shut down from Covid just so Joe could win the Election from his basement?
