Getting door replaced. What to do with sensor

Hi, hopefully someone here can provide some guidance. I have a hkc 10270 alarm installed in my house and the below sensor on the back door. The door will be getting replaced so I need to take this sensor off and install onto the new door.
Is it just a matter of inhibiting the zone or wilp a tamper activation happen when I take it off the door?
