Just do away with queues altogether. They're so inefficient, and drain so much time with multiple people entering multiple times with zero visibility on how any value remaining in the queue. And the amount of frustration caused by people's lack of visibility of the process is just anxiety inducing. Small sample of it here, check Twitter for more.

Have a ballot that runs for a set duration of time to verified Ticketmaster account owners, allowing people to select their preferences around quantity and other preferences.

Run a weightled lottery based on people's preferece to allocate tickets, announce via e-mail, and then open a buying window for a set duration of time.
