Another interesting interpretation of the laws there. It seems you can just ignore the ball, pick a player up by the body, and win a turnover penalty.

Yeah, expected when he isn't calling blatant things. He should not have needed tmo for two obvious issues with disallowed try as examples

Didnt take the restart at the start of the half when we needed possession and to run down the sinbin clock and didnt do much anything right since then.

Have no problem with a ref asking players not to talk to him but on two occasions he was complaining about the captain rightly calling out two obvious things he was missing (the non try before half time and France standing on the wrong side of the mark for the following lineout).

I mean it's one of the worst calls I've seen in years and the irish players believed it was resulting in a try, you'd be frustrated. I'm still shocked the ref didn't pick it up..

They generally have and he is excellent, probably deserve the lead, but would just like a bit more reliability in the officiating.

This ref would make you tear your hair out.

I had to rewind to make sure I wasn't seeing anything and no, I was right. French 11 who caught the ball was only about 15m infront of the man who kicked the ball. Unreal incompetence
