Options for increasing shower pressure

    Hi folks,

We have a triton t90 (xr?) I think. Its plumbed from our gravity fed water tank in the attic. What are our options for a better flow of water to the shower? We have a 120 litre cylinder in the hotpress.

    Thanks,

    Michael

If you have a regular supply of hot water in your cylinder you could replace your electric shower with an ordinary one and fit a 2.5 or 3.0 bar Stuart Turner or similar pump - they are not cheap but almost trouble free.

Not sure you can do much if you don’t preheat the water.

you can’t increase the flow through the electric shower as it needs to heat the water.

if you preheat the water you can use a power shower.

or add an in-line pump and a normal shower head as posted above.

Increasing the pressure on the electric shower will give you better pressure of cold water. You will have to reduce the pressure /flow to what you have now to get warm water. Electric shower can't heat up the water quickly.

As mentioned above installing a power shower will give you great pressure but you will have to heat up the water for 30 to 60 minutes before you have a shower. You could keep the electric shower as well as installing a power shower if you want
