Herd Prefix (Dairy)

    Hi!

Thinking of registering the herd pedigree, just in relation to sales down the road with excess heifers and that, and I know socially the IHFA are great.

Just on prefixes, I know people normally just use a placename, or townland, especially the dairy guys. The beef herds are a bit more adventurous, Elite Limousins or Goulding Angus and so on, what are peoples thoughts? Bit over the top?

    Thanks

Personally I like the townland prefix. Especially if it’s a unique name.
