Instead of taking the mark should have passed it on for the goal chance.

could Costelloe have been black carded and a penalty award for that foul. Up the other end Mannion should definitely have been pinged for overcarry before he sent the ball in for the Dublin goal. Not that it would affect the outcome but could have left things a bit tighter.

    Great goal

Could have been in for another just then

Whats the average winning margin in the provincial finals standing at now? Aside from Ulster, an absolute busted flush

The problem is You only have two Sam Maguire level teams in Leinster Dublin and Kildare, the rest are all at Tailteann cup level.

Kerry are in a hurling province, all the teams they play in Munster are huge hurling counties so football is going to be very weak.

Dublin could have got 7/8 goals by now.

    The provincials are dead.

The 3 finals have been so uncompetitive.

Yep. Thats a cumulative 49 point winning margin in the 3 finals played. The sooner they are consigned to the dustbin the better.

Impressive enough in the end from the Dubs. Very naieve stuff from Louth though. Need to be winning an awful lot of possession and keeping it well for the set up to work. I dont think even a top team would leave themselves that open against the Dubs.

The 10 mins before and after half time would concern me a little if I was a Dub. Struggled to get on the ball, allowed Louth back into the game from what should have been game over etc, but that might be nit picking, think Dubs are still right in the mix for the AI although Rock and Basquel coming on as forward subs wont worry any top team.

They fell apart everywhere in the second half, but first half, they lost midfield which led to Dublin racking up scores before half time.

The GAA really have created a monster in dublin.

The rest of Leinster seriously need to consider withdrawing from the leinster championship. Whats the point of it at this stage?

Peter Canavan is excellent on RTE.

Hopefully ulster follows suits and we can finally have a mature conversation about retiring them. Munster hurling and Ulster football along with the GAA favouring the dubs has left our games in an awful state.

How is the name of Jaysus are the teams expected to distinguish their team from the other in the ulster final….colours couldn’t be more similar

Yeah they are fairly similar alright.

I always think the orange of Armagh really pops out in the crowd

Red and orange colour clash on a sunny day is painful on the eyes.

Huge mistake not making one side change strip.

Colour clash is ridiculous, who decides these things

Just turned this on now. Jerseys were a massive oversight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,010 ✭✭✭WesternZulu

Why are they both playing in their home colours

Especially seeing as Derry seem to play in white just as often as red over the years.

I thought there are rules for such clashes.

White wouldnt be much better. Surely one of them could have had a 3rd jersey. Blue or green or hoops. This is nonsense.
