How can I get an official letter of "no interest" so I can change the beneficiary (assigned)

I redeemed my mortgage with the BOI in 2005 but my life insurance policy was not changed and still has the BOI as the assigned. How do I get an official letter from the BOI stating they have no interest as the assigned? I have tried calling unsuccessfully.
