They won't get there. This was the one chance for many clubs because City slipped a little at the start.

It will be back to Ligue Premier for the next while after this.

We're starting to see this really pay off now, Liverpool and their extraordinary form in recent years have hidden it somewhat, but they are broken now from chasing City for 2 or 4 years, and now it looks like Arsenal have run out of steam after 3/4 of this season.

The proof of the pudding can be seen in Arsenal's defence. Saliba is out, Rob Holding is the replacement, and they ship 7 goals in 3 games.

Meanwhile, City have Stones and Ruben, 55/60 million transfers, have Ajanki and Ake at fullback ready to fill into the middle 50 million for Ake 20 odd for (Ajanki on the books anyway), and 50 million transfer still in reserve, with 65 million transfer Rodri still able to step back there in a break glass situation of absolutely necessary.

That's not to mention many other huge money transfers that are not really being used much at the minute but could stand in and make an impact immediately (mahrez, foden, Phillips) or others cast aside (cancelo/sterling).

It's obvious the playing field is skewed, we all know it, and we had better get used to watching a Bundesliga or Ligue 1 scenario unless or until the Sheiks get bored, or unless the other Sheiks get to spending, which will only skew the market further.

If another quasi-state entity come in and take over another club, Utd or otherwise, it doesn’t matter if they cook the books like other clubs, their supporters will parrot their propaganda and accuse everyone of being jealous. All most supporters want is success, and if it comes from regimes with horrific values, they don’t care.

You are replying to a poster who is totally confused and doesn't know what he wants. A begrudger and there are many like him.

A fairly blatant back pass picked up by the Fulham keeper - no one saw ot complaned about it - don't often see that.

Just saw a video, bit of a shocker to not call it

Wilson fairly buried that - Keeper proper flapped it out.

Arsenals from collapsing cannot be put down to injuries. I think if it’s December , they win those games they have with or without the players missing. I think it’s mostly the pressure of expectations has gotten to them. Kind of like pool under multiple managers over the years before they finally got over the line with Klopp.

Regardless of your team or squad size, the pressure is most at the tail end of season , particularly when you have a rival chomping right behind you. That’s just a fact.

Doesn’t mean you are bottling it exactly but it’s what separates champions from wannabe champs. Champions can get the wins needed when they need to. There’s a bang of Newcastle (when they had a massive lead over United) under keegan off this arsenal collapse, unable to beat who they should and letting teams back into games when a more clever team would use the dark arts to run the game down.

I remember some seasons United would just grind out results when it mattered without playing particularly well. City do have a ridiculous squad but arsenal had it in the bag. They haven’t dropped points in the last 3 games against teams in top form challenging for anything, they’ve dropped points to teams they should be beating. Can’t blame fatigue and regardless of city’s drive to win all games, they knew they had to win them. They look like they’ve blown it, which is a huge shame, I really wanted them to put it up to city.

    Meslier again.

Meslier should be no where near the first team for the rest of the year. He will relegate Leeds on his own.

Extremely scrappy goal but Leeds won't care

Leeds have played their best, once they went 2 down. 2-1 now and the exciting Gnonto is now on.

Yep - the only way he saves a ball apparently.

Record number of substitute appearances in a prem season - 29 Duncan Ferguson.

Cairney for Fulham has 25 so far this season.

    Interesting stat.

Only way leeds can stay up is if forest and Everton lose the next 7 in a row. Dreadful dross, they'd challenge the mantra of nk easy games in the pl. City will hit double digits against them

The potential saver for Arsenal now is their penchant for draws. If they could just do that one more time on Wednesday night!

On the game last night, a lot here berating Jesus. I actually thought he took a massive battering last night. The referee ignored most but he was getting kicked, raked and pulled so much he dropped back to sit in the centre circle. Would like to have seen the VAR stuff at the end as well.

A draw is no good to them against City if they want to keep it in their own hands.

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

2-1 liverpool. 3 goals in the 1st 10 mins of the 2nd half.

the 3rd goal was odd. looked like there were more liverpool attackers than forest defenders for the free

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 258 ✭✭It is a Dunne Deal

Forest concede straight after scoring again awful stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,282 ✭✭✭fyfe79

Forest player pulling back Salah ironically kept him onside.

2-1 leicester against wolves from being 1-0 down. would be a huge win for them

Liverpool defending is comical. No idea how they’re winning that game.

Answer is simple really- Forest’s defending was even worse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,282 ✭✭✭fyfe79

Liverpool had most of the ball and chances to be fair. Forests goals both came from deflections.

Glad to see Leicester win. Another win against Leeds on Tuesday and they'll have a bit of breathing space. If I recall correctly their remaining matches are reasonably favourable.
