CB Radio Ireland 2023 Munster and beyond.

HI There.

I have just bought a Horse Lorry to transport my Daughters around Munster with their Horses. I am considering revisiting my past and fitting a CB radio so I have something to do while waiting around for events to finish.

Is the CB community in Ireland still active or has Mobile Phones and Social Media killed it off ?

If its still active, should I stick to the Basic FM/AM Channels or should I go the extra € and consider Side Band ?

I am looking for any advise or ideas.

side band all day long, I don't know is there is much activity but at least you could work some dx, 10m open every day so I presume 11 is also

not familiar with cb lately , been using hf kit even b4 I got the ticket

I don't think the present day President range are as good as years ago

crt 9900 seem popular , there one for sale on facebook in kildare

yes ssb usually have longer range
