Lost me phone and someone is going to give me an iphone 8 to replace it. I want to buy a case to protect the phone in case I drop it. Don't want to crack the screen. I seen videos of a guy on youtube throwing an iphone 14 about 10ftup in the air and the phone was grand. The case was called mouse I think. Whats best case for an iphone 8 ???

I find a combination of that case you linked to - and a Tempered Glass screenprotector - €1.50 in deals - worked very well for me.

The Tempered Glass (not plastic) screen protectors are great - and cheap because IPhone 8 is not current anymore, they may have a case that suits also

The Otter case the other mention here was a much more bulky case - it really protects the iphone - but it makes it much thicker and the raised edges hard to click on edges of screen.

The (fake) Leather flip open you mention is ok too - I had that for my IPhone 6.

The clear case you linked I used for my IPhone 8 - and it survived ok - but you can get much cheaper than 20 euros

I noticed my local Tesco was selling Otter box cases for iPhone 8.

Get one of the glass screen protectors. Unless you drive a nail into it, it's very unlikely to cracked etc beyond the protector.

I don't like a thick phone or case myself. Don't use one. But you don't have to hit the screen to crack the glass. Sometimes just a big drop on the corner is enough even with a case.

I’ve got an iPhone 15 right now, and I totally get wanting a solid case to protect it from drops. I’ve dropped mine a couple of times, and having a good case has definitely saved it. The right case makes a big difference, especially for protecting the screen.

I’ve seen those Mous cases too, and they seem really durable. Personally, I always buy from an online shop that has the best iPhone cases. They’ve got great quality, and I trust them to protect my phone without making it too bulky. It’s definitely worth checking out if you want something reliable.
