This sardines were ~€0.27 for a long time ( 2-3 years ) Was like the one in the picture or blank metal can with a carton wrapping; 25 to 27 cents depending on season ; used to be the cheapest item on the shelf

Now it's €0.47 ( i hear £0.32 in UK) and even at that price sometimes stock is at minimum levels...

Not all prices raised at once , and not all with same percentage, but sometimes i feel that retailers are increasing the price across the board, just to be sheltered from price inflation

No issues with slugs? used to plant few of my own stuff but lost slug battle every time :/

The price rises might no longer be inflation related. I think it's moving towards margin expansion with the inflation situation providing perfect cover. No one is going to change shop for a €0.25 increase in a sardines can but spread that over all your shopping and it's a nice bonus for the retailers.

There must be massive changes happening in peoples shopping habits. But, we've yet to see it in the market share numbers.

I say that as someone who has largely abandoned Lidl.

Even if fewer people go it might not be a negative profit wise if margins are pushed up enough on those that remain.

Mine was a €10 minimum spend for the hand wash or chocolate. As posted earlier in the thread it’s in very small writing under the huge scratch & win heading.
