Six inches of snow here. Fine powdery stuff.

real first world problem, the bother of explaining to dunes stores that while the delivery van can travel the road they will get stuck on our lane and not get back to the road. Townies 🙄

“Anto” landed and got stuck to his hole. Got snotty even though they had been warned about getting stuck. Sent him down to leave the delivery with my sister down the road.

"Anto" guessing he was a dub when called that.

A late spring by all accounts, bad few days here and the west wind bringing sleet with it. Land was drier in February

Giving dry here and temps up around 17 next week.

Need to get MOP and nitrogen onto silage ground, how long to leave before putting a light coat of slurry on top?

The experts say it doesn’t grow in the bag, does it grow when it’s in the Shannon or the Erne because i’d say that’s where a lot of it from last weekend is. What a fuppin day.

It's dry, overcast and sunny here but there is a hoor of a East wind blowing (I hate the East wind) the thermometer says it's 11c but it feels more like 5.

Yea no real growth. Good for drying though. Was at match with kids. I nearly froze on the sideline. Is it ever going to warm up this year.

Heavy land is absolutely saturated here in Leitrim.Even allowing for the bit of drying in last few days it will probably be undone by the heavy rain forecast for Saturday.

No great shakes of a long term forecast either, rain returning for several days in a row from Tuesday week 🙄

Too cold for any decent growth.

Middling ground still very soft here…..no way a tractor would travel on it……has definitely being a spurt of growth in last week but too wet to get out with fertiliser yet.

At the price of it you don’t want to see it washed away, both yesterday and today after lovely mornings torrential downpours came for 10 mins that would wash away fertiliser into drains.

How are people faring in drier parts of our little island?

Very heavy rain in the north west this evening going by the rainfall radar, is there no end to this crap, next week not looking good either.

I had more than "some" rain in Longford yesterday evening, during a thundery shower with 5 rumbles of thunder. Was mild at the same time but the ground is fairly saturated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,821 ✭✭✭✭whelan2

    Was dry here.

Washed out of it here last night, wet fields are heaving again here

This was mowed last Tuesday and was grand little soft in the parts with springs , the quad is leaving marks on it this morning, 1st cut is going to be very messy in alot of places with heavy cuts and poor ground conditions
