I think paddy thinks he's 6.3. he's running the ball, chasing high balls, and doing well at both.

Phew. Glasgow win with a tbp as expected so we're still 2 points behind them.

Leinster lost a gem there, fine player, really impressed so far with him

Does say much that munster left them back into. I still don't think it's a great league standard wise.

Bit of a mad game in the end, and really shouldn’t have been as close as it was. Loads to be positive about in attack, but I’d say this and the Benetton game are probably our 2 worst defensive games of the season, which is a bit of a worry. I think the 6-2 split with Coughlan on the bench probably didn’t help us in that regard, but we’re short at the moment.

Thought all of Daly, Joey, Frisch, Fekitoa, Nash, Kleyn, Salanoa and Fineen all played really well (Fineen’s sloppy penalty aside). And Gavin Coombes with another big shift with his 33rd try in 47 starts, and 66 appearances. Crowley too when he came on (although he looked really poor for one of the tries).

And obviously brilliant to see Snyman back. It’s almost comical how much he dwarfs other players when he’s on.

Well,it's what we have, what would you prefer?

Why would you entertain that kind of nonsense statement.

13% of our points conceded so far in this season's URC were in that second half....

We won the first half 5-1 and lost the second half 5-2, putting it that way, it wasn’t a great final score, but the BP win was the important thing and had that by 28 minutes, so can’t be too harsh on them. Glasgow up next in 3 weeks time will be another massive fixture to determine the movement on the table, beat them and anything is possible, lose and could end up sliding back down.

It’s funny how the season is panning out, poor start and then clicking into gear mid-season, and still finding things that need to improve going into the last few rounds and knockout rugby.

The injured players returning is a massive boost, Nash was very busy last night, Snyman of course, and Knox back too.

Three weeks is a long time to prepare for the next block so hopefully we’ll have a stronger squad by then with a few more available.

Very much a curates egg of a performance, brilliant in attack and a bit sloppy in defense. I thought Joey had a good game but his missed touch from a penalty and clearance kick were disappointing and the latter led to their first try.

Crowley had a mixed game too but great to see him get on the field on the 50min mark.

Looks to me we could have a few HIAs, injury concerns from last night and the 6-2 split on the bench probably didn't help in us controlling the game the way we'd have hoped at half time.

Aside from the scores the highlight for rugby fans must surely be seeing RGS getting back to playing rugby.

Fantastically entertaining game last night. It had absolutely everything

I have to say though that the BT commentary team of Nugent and Quinlan were doing everything they could to **** on the game at every opportunity.

The speed and tempo of the first half was up there with a test international game and this led to the Scarlets making mistakes, leaving gaps and making our scores look easy. In the 2nd half the Scarlets returned the favour and punched holes and forced errors from us. Helped in part by us losing shape playing an academy scrum half and a 9 at 15, and a few of our players seemingly went off script at times. Possibly due to fatigue or because Scarlets were forcing errors.

One of the Scarlets tries that was described as 'Sloppy defense' came from Wycherley's injury. Josh couldn't run to cover his space and left a gap in defence. Hope it's nothing too serious

Disappointed for Josh alright, thought he had a good game, particularly at ruck time. Hopefully nothing too bad.

Luckily Loughman is back in training and should be good for Glasgow. Saying that it's three weeks away, so Josh may be good to go by then. Doubt we'll have Killer available.

Not only a gem, the exact sort of threatening player who would thrive in our set up. Patterson plays so wonderfully like Blade and JGP.

Certainly as it stands you fellas got the better deal in the (i'm oversimplifying by calling it a) trade between Patterson and Nick McCarthy.

But such is the way sometimes. A player needs a different environment or coach to thrive. I'm backing Patterson to get a generous amount of caps in green anyway.

Yeah I'd agree, Nick McCarthy didn't set the world alight down here at all.

that main ulster player kept playing for another year or so after he was first investigated for that incident though and he even played for ireland (played really well too tbh) on a number of occasions so i dunno how much stick could be given to munster in this case

but yeah it seems like this is the best idea for all involved.

I'm sorry to see him go but delighted he's staying in the URC.

Wow, I don't think anyone saw that one coming

Best of luck to him. He's a superb player and I think he'll fit right in with Benetton's playing style

I guess that puts the homesickness theory to bed. Wonder what made him decide to leave?

Good signing for Benetton, hope it works out for them both.

I believe his partner is actually Italian so from a personal point of view probably makes more sense
