In a carpark, where there's no shortage of very convenient spaces but someone was parked on the 'road' and only moved when others started to drive out.

    WTF!

Aww.. My current three are so healthy... Two are "island cats" ie very inbred as happens on small islands, but strong and sturdy and well mannered. One was brought to me after his lady owner died and he is still full tom, but the most affectionate and well-mannered of cats,,,, She must have treated him so well...and I hope she somehow knows he is safe and happy.

The other is ...crazy! He was rarely if ever fed so now demands FEED ME! many times a day in a very loud voice... But the fear has gone from his eyes and he has gone from a bony cat to a bonny cat... any small annoyance from his yelling for food is well worth it...

Anyway I’m TA’d because my roll wasn’t made the way I like it today.

I always get a roll for lunch during the week when I’m not working (so 2-3 days a week max) but visit a certain deli cos they do them nice but today they made a bad roll.

The fillings were as intended but it’s how it was cut and assembled. This might not resonate with anyone else but yeah.

    im upset trivially so.

Listening to a lad on the radio earlier on the subject of the difficulty of getting a late night taxi or bus. Fair enough, it’s an issue but he used his own example of getting home to Rathmines from Camden street, no more than a 10/15 minute walk!

btw he said he was young and healthy and could walk

  • ✭✭✭

Maybe so but I know from experience a 15/20 min walk can be some dose when it’s late at night..

it’s about 20 mins for me to walk home from the bus stop here but when I used to finish work and be home at 12/1am it felt like hours. 😂

and in Dublin it’s not the place I’d want to be walking home late at night..!

In the International having a drink and the smell of toasties is driving me insane. I'm going for dinner shortly anyway, but I'm like the Bisto Gravy kids here.

Every morning for the last two weeks, right as the sun is rising and before my alarm is due to go off, a bird pecks insessently on the kitchen window (which is right beside my bedroom). Like a bleedin' woodpecker. It is driving me insane.

Is there something on the inside of the window which is drawing it's attention - something it might think is food perhaps? Or maybe it sees its own reflection in the window and thinks it's a rival?

Of course, it could just be the prelude to this 😛

Put the cat outside as I was going to bed last night. Didn't want to run the risk of her waking me up during the night when she wants to go out.

Unfortunately she made such a racket outside the front door at 5.30am this morning - wanting to get in - that I had to get up and let her inside.

    Couldn't go back asleep.

Veggie burgers all tasteless now. The cardboard box on the Green Cuisine chicken burgers has more flavour. I don't think they even added salt to them.

Have you tried the Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers? Decent enough.

Haven't seen them here, I'll try making some one day when I'm in the mood. Also Butlers choc have gone to shite. Latte is tasteless and chocolate is waxy.

Bad things they used to put in food really made them nice. 😀

I'm watching The Bourne Ultomation, and his birthday is given as 4/15/71 . I was flummoxed as there's only 12 months. Doh thickhead 😡

Just curious but is she normally in? From our experience once they get kept inside it’s a hard habit to break

My (in their 70s) parents really not getting today's job market. I work in a fairly specialised/niche sector. Finished a contract in November and am still looking for my next role. Actively interviewing, etc. They keep asking why I can't/won't just take "any" job in the meantime and don't understand that A) in my industry, you're only as good as the last position on your CV and if I leave the sector, I likely won't get back in, and B) being overqualified is a thing. If I land into my local petrol station with an application they're going to thank me politely and then stick it up in the staff room for a laugh.

Driving in home and I see 3 dog poo bags in my garden.

Not used thankfully ( That wouldn't be TA, that would be war! 😁)

But still , I'm the one tidying up from whatever dog owner lost the bags 🙄

She's inside a lot during the day - goes in and out a few times.

If she comes in just before our bedtime (c.midnight), then we let her stay in all night because she generally won't wake us before I get up at 7.00am.

If she has been in for the evening, then we'll put her out when going to bed because she'll end up wanting to go out at 3.00 / 4.00am - disaster for me if I don't go back asleep.

does she have a litter tray. Hoping to a cat soon that’s used to a litter tray for that reason.

Isn't "Eire" just what the Brits used because they couldn't bear to use the words "Republic of Ireland"? I've no clue who or where I learned that from but it's one of those things I grew up believing to be true and I'm not convinced it isn't.
