Brightness & distance are 2 different things. Don't think you'll get much improvement on distance

I have used these in the past. They do put out more light, but don't last as long as standard halogen bulbs.

Also, as any halogen bulb ages, the glass darkens slightly, causing lower light output. Just changing the current bulbs with standard ones could give an improvement in light.

Check that the headlamp height adjustment wheel in the car is set to 0. This is the highest setting.

If you are still having problems, perhaps get the headlights checked/adjusted by a mechanic to make sure they are not aimed too low.

I used to use these but they used to blow too often and were expensive to replace each time.
