Help To Buy Scheme

Could anyone shed some light on the help to buy scheme and what the criteria is for it? I have been approved and got x amount for it. Can this be used as a deposit as I've tried ringing revenue but to no avail

Yes, you can use it as deposit.

This needs to be agreed with the builder and is applicable only for new builds.

You can use entire X amount as deposit provided, X is less than or equal to 10% of the house.

Hi all. Bringing this back from the dead.

Are you able to get the full 30k on new self builds, or only on new development built by an approved property developer?

The amount you can claim is detailed on the Revenue website.

Can anyone shed some light on quick the process was? I plan on waiting until January 2024 to apply to get the full 30K but need to get my commencement notice in by the middle of March to avail of the connection and development levy break. Is this realistic to have the Help to Buy and Mortgage approved in just over 2 months?
