    Hello

Looking for some help. Finishing an extension and want to raise a patio to be flush to the sliding doors rather than steps down to it - We would need 2 steps down we reckon if that that approach.

I'm concerned over drainage . Can the drainage be managed with falls away from the house or would an aco drain always need to be installed at the point of where the patio meets the house?

What else do we need to look out for when discussing with the builder.

    Thanks

It's better to be 100% sure rainwater won't get a way in. So, with falls in the paving this will cater for rain falling straight down, but you need to allow for wind driven rain into the door area for prolonged times. This is where aco drains come into play. They aren't expensive and are easy to install. I know what I'd have.

Thanks for the reply. We have a small overhang but I'm here looking at the rain driving in on the windows !
