While I am of course crestfallen that Joe is not back, I also know how hard he has been working with virtually no break in the last six months

I look forward to his return on Monday the 9th I assume.

Folks I'm moving away from Liveline and the thread this year. I have a lot of exciting plans this year and I just don't have room for Joe's negativity anymore.

Hope 2023 brings you all the gold and awkwardly read-on-air apologies you deserve!!!

Let’s not talk about the multiple stabbings in Killarney . Let’s give out about winter viruses instead and blocked up hospitals. It’s the time of the year for it, people can’t cope with a flu anymore….

what was wrong with your child, and was he just another one clogging up spaces for people who actually need them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,440 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Sounds like he had a vomiting bug. No point wasting time and resources of an already chronically stretched A&E. And going into a hospital risks infecting far more seriously ill people as it's contagious.

Try accessing a and e in the US.

    With no insurance.

This is a poor example to start with. An American who doesn't contribute 1 cent to the tax take.

That's ridiculous but a common issue, no doctors in A&E!!

My friends mother had cardiac arrest on Stephens Day, ambulance arrived at 4:30am and at 6:30am she was still in the ambulance in the hospital carpark

so she is admitting the hospitals are being clogged up by children who needs calpol and go home, which seems to be her own 14 year old too.

  • Posts: 24,207 ✭✭✭✭ Riley Helpless Grapevine

If yer vomiting (especially with cramps & diarrhoea) it’s contagious gastroenteritis, stay out of hospital unless you are in a very vulnerable category.

Maybe he is developing inflammatory bowel disease?

if eyes/neck hurts with vomiting think meningitis. Vomiting without fever or diarrhoea or sore tummy needs to be evaluated by brain scan.
