Activate ethernet points in home

Hi,

I have several Cat5e connection points throughout the house(picture attached). I think they all lead into a cupboard near the front door (pictures attached) but all of the wires seem to be cut off at the end? I have a virgin media router in my office but I was told by the Virgin Media Engineer than I would be able to connect it up somehow so that wired ethernet could be used from any of the points? Does anyone have any idea how I would go about this or know anyone I can contact to look at this?

1. Terminate all the cables with ethernet jacks.

2. You'll need to get a switch into this cupboard and connect all the cables into it.

3. Connect one of the LAN ports of the Virgin router to one of the ports of the switch.

Everything is connected together now.

As opposed to option 1 above, you could get one of these and patch the white cables in the photo into it. Then run cables to a switch as per 2 & 3.

Cables look very short so that is an excellent idea.

Make sure the wiring scheme at the cupboard and points is the same. There's an A and B wiring, B is pretty much universal so the points are probably wired that way but check to be sure.
