Japan were very good in the first half...deserved the lead.
But Croatia gradually inched their way back into it and have been very very slowly turning the screw since they got the goal.
Will be surprised if this doesn't go to penalties tbh

Jenas making the point that extra time is a waste of time l, I would agree but he wants it go to penalties. I’d propose each side losing a player every 5-10 mins and golden goal.

It doesn't seem fair that the winners of today's games play again on Friday, while England and France who played yesterday, play each other on Saturday.

Feck it I was reasonably happy today until I was reminded of the Ireland v Spain 2002 shootout. Ireland should never have lost that game.

Such poor penalties from Japan. The more experienced at penalties were clearly the Czechs.
