One4all - how to buy the €1000 voucher

Hi,

How do I purchase the €1000 voucher on the One4all website?

All I am getting is the max €150.

I've tried ringing the One4all customer service numbers but always on hold.

Can't be that hard to but it! :)

Jesus don't put that much money on a voucher. These vouchers are hard to use at the best of time, not to mind locking up a grand on one .

I'd seriously reconsider that amount on one4all. I find it hard to use the odd €15 ones I get. It's a very restrictive way to gift somebody. I know many people with balances on those cards that they are trying to use up.

You cannot buy one for €1k unless you’re a business customer. The maximum with a Gold Chip & Pin is €500 (requires ID to activate).

Can I suppose buy 2x of those. Hate to pile on as well, but you’re almost better off just giving them in cash or via bank transfer. Gift cards like this are annoying because you’re stuck with where they can be spent & €1000 is a lot..!

Me2you state a €150 max unless a business customer when it's €500 and still not a great way to gift that kind of money.

min. is €15 and max. €150. Corporate cards can be issued up to €500.

Spread it across multiple cards. Dunnes and Super Valu take them, can use them for groceries.

I am guessing you are trying to get them as a tax-free gift for someone/yourself, bear in mind that the €1000 only applies for 2023 onwards afaik. It's still only €500 for 2022

If they're looking for €1000 it's probably for the Small Benefit Scheme, easy way for a company to gift €1,000 to an employee free of tax.

OP look up AllGo.ie , they will provide a prepaid Mastercard for the €1,000, which can be spent anywhere. A lot more useful than the one4all.

Incorrect, was increased to €1,000 with immediate effect in the recent budget.

Also it can only be spread across 2 cards of €500, so don't take this advice of splitting over multiple cards or you could have a Revenue issue.

It applies for 2022 also. Usually the good breaks in the Budget take a while to come in but this one was introduced for 2022

Dunnes dont take one4all cards, I dont believe Lidl or Aldi do either. Tesco do however.

As some stores have their own cards they will not accept One4all.

One4all were sold last year.

Experience we had last year were the cards did not arrive until the New Year even though they were bought well in advance. Hard to contact anyone in customer services. All communication was by email as answerphone was on. Took forever to verify the cards and stores that were supposed to take them refused to take them. They said it was due to the new two step verification.

Looking at alternatives. Not going through that again.

Why not use a store gift card of the person's choice? You would get through €1000 in Dunnes or Supervalu if you did your weekly shopping there anyway.

Pretty sure the OP has already said they got a different card but imo, Perx or any of the prepaid Mastercards are a waaaaaaay better gift to get than One4All because they can be used anywhere that takes credit cards. Much less restrictive.

The Small Benefit Scheme can be any voucher, so long as its not cash. Plenty of easy ways to use €1,000 voucher. Center Parcs, airline, supermarket, Harvey Norman or other electric retailer, Arnotts, etc.

Similar at the moment have looked at perx and allgo now but the cut they take is a bit much!

What cut do AllGo take? There's an admin charge to process the order, then you get a €1,000 card to spend on whatever you like.

I'm not affiliated with them at all by the way, just find them far better than O4A in the spending freedom that comes with their card.

I got mine activated last year without much difficulty but in general I totally agree One4all are an absolute pain to use.

Physical cards aren’t too bad but the electronic vouchers are a disaster as if shopping online most stores only allow one card per transaction so if your bill is 60 euro and your electronic voucher is 50 euro tough.

If you’re struggling to spend, and a wine/beer/alcohol drinker here’s my recommendation.

Add all of your electronic vouchers to phone wallet
go to O’Briens wines- as long as you know the amount left on each card (write down the amounts and card numbers on a piece of paper) they can apply multiple cards in the one transaction - I’ve done this a few times and they’re super patient

I could never get the One4all electronic voucher in my wallet to work in SuperValu.

I wouldn’t dare place 1000 euro on a One4all card

also note, One4all deduct something like 1.50 per month from unused cards after a certain length of time so spend as soon as you can
