    4 F-bombs in 2 minutes.

    Impressive stats for the MOTM

Hilarious repeated f-bombs from Patterson in his interview. Just shows how much it means to him, pure adrenaline, I'd say.

Delighted for Rowntree too, can see the direction he wants to go.

Nice to see the Munster lads really enjoying the win.

In the words of Paddy Patterson ‘**** delighted’ Erasmus isn’t there to spoil the party.

    Munster are f.ucking class.

It's ok to swear now. Patterson set a precedent

Fantastic from Munster. If this team clicks like this in that sort of weather they should have a great season.

Maybe SA's depth isnt as strong as we think...

Sorry just saying this because we said the same thing about Ireland when our A team lost...unless Ireland are held to a higher standard than SA are?

Henderson, Ryan and Beirne. Treadwell backing them up for now. McCarthy, Ahern and Edogbo all coming up and likely to overtake him soon. Not bad depth in the row with a few proper TH locks coming through!

Some win lads, enjoy the evening. Great to see the scenes there. Munster were superb 😀

Far from perfect performance, but plenty of positives to be seen there for a relatively young Munster side.

Healy was brilliant tonight. I'm delighted for him.

I don't think that PuC will be offered for such a low rental price for a spring time rental. Reports claimed that Ed Sheeran was paying 1.4 million for 3 concerts in April (or maybe May I'm not sure).

Thats compared with reports of 200-250K paid by Munster Rugby for this event. While I say this Ed Sheeran required the pitch to be relaid afterwards so its not exactly comparable but April will be more expensive than November.

It should be considered as an option constantly. If Cork GAA name the right price knock out games in PUC is a definite option.

PatPat is the F-Bomb king... himself and Haley and Frisch were excellent tonight...

I think Antoine Frisch is a bit of a find... he was brilliant in the centre of midfield...

Some big performances there from relatively young and very young lads. Thought despite the issues at scrum time, that Salanoa went really well. Edogbo was brilliant again, such a huge prospect. Thought Shane Daly had a great game too. Patterson really showed up and looked dangerous. Good service too considering how **** the conditions were. Hodnett was great in defence too.

South Africa were really very poor all things considered. You can talk about depth in other countries but that would not fill any South African fans with hope. If they can’t beat you up, they have nothing. Munsters defence won the game. They attacked with far more adventure than SA though which built on the defence.

Zebo may have got a try but he is an empty jersey at this stage.

I thought Edogbo was going to end up in the back row. I'd prefer to see him at lock.

Frisch looks like a far shrewder investment than Fekitoa

Ireland A were beaten by an excellent All blacks performance.

Nobody criticised the opposition after Ireland lost that game.

Ireland's depth is fine, we have excellent players in almost every position. They don't get a chance because it's all about Leinster.

Munster were always going to be "up for this", to use the outdated sporting currency.

But there's so much more emerging in this team, seeing the sort of moves they're putting together, in those conditions, in such a big occasion....

Very pleasing night for so many reasons.

True but I suspect SA wont be as scrutinised for some reason...

Are you sure you aren't thinking of his younger brother. He seems to be thought of more as a back row forward.

To follow up on this, huge credit to Ben Healy; he was excellent 2nite, and his place kicking was superb. I don’t think he missed one? And slotted some really difficult ones on there too.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,979 ✭✭✭fitz

I didn't mean that critically...it was a very good performance, they won well, while still making mistakes and looking like they have room to improve.

Great win in what was terrible conditions. Absolutely thrilled for the coaches and the team.

This could be the first of more big games here in PuC.

shouldnt even be a question at this stage, id even argue bringing QFs there should be looked at when all the pool games are in limerick. either way this game showed it should be looked at once the gaa play ball

think scannell always could play like he did tonight but he was used almost exclusively to carry ball until recently despite him being a 10

hes been a bit up and down this season but im a big fan, could be interesting to see what happens between himself and crowley. carbery shouldnt even be in the question for me but thats a different. wouldnt mind seeing healy at 12 sometime, hes a big lad and his defence was solid tonight

in fairness zebo is just back from injury but he definitely is falling further behind where he should be

this is true but i wonder if a bit of a deal could be made in terms of playing quarters as well as semis or something like that? or a christmas game when the stadium wouldnt be in use anyway, something that would be win-win for all parties anyway

Our defence is looking really solid; definitely being more discerning about which rucks to contest, it’s leading to more guys in the line. After a few phases of that, all SA had 2nite was a box kick (and scrum dominance).

If we can marry the flashes of attacking play we saw 2nite with that defensive solidity, we’re definitely going in the right direction. The attack sticking is night and day from what we saw vs Dragons.
