Apparently the term “dry alcoholic” is used for somebody who is abstaining but still obsessively thinking about it and working up to an excuse to resume drinking.

I once met a guy who was 5 years clean following a very serious addiction which had sad consequences; he actually had managed to developed an enduring distaste for it by going into therapy. so he wouldn’t be classed as a dry alcoholic per se but one in recovery and untroubled by impulses to resume drinking.

Just listened to JD for first time today.

Tell me, does he pretend to be thick, or is he really?

From half-wit discussions about, are thunderstorms dangerous... Or asking people questions to which he already knows the answer.

    Also, his diction is appalling...

The udder one... Udder like on a cow.

Without the hit it's like snorthing lines of sugar off your kitchen table thinking it's cocaine.

This lad Liam is far too invested in the anti drink message - I suspect a plant. Did he phone in or has he been put on to promote an agenda?

The fact that he can tell the difference between an alcoholic drink and a non-alcoholice drink isn't alarming. If he couldn't tell the difference, THAT would be alarming!

So the BAI have a set of codes relating to both the advertising of Alcohol and its use in product placement, this is on top of general rules.

    1. An advertiser that has product placement in a programme may not sponsor the programme
    2. An advertiser has no editorial control over the content of the programme

    And their are plenty more

    1. Both RTÉ and VMTV have flaunted this rule, even take the book show currently on TV, its has PP from Eason and is sponsored by Eason,
    2. while the reviewers are novelist and are giving "their" opinion on books that they have read, they aren't very critical of the books because Eason sponsor the show. Eason have produced the show rather than being commissioned by VMTV

Paddy Powers sports programme a few years back, the set entirely in Green, I am fairly sure that betting companies cannot have product placement on TV.

BAI should look into the Guinness programme as it has been raised on Liveline, instead they will wait for someone to complain directly to VMTV and then to them, basically at the end of the year they can say they received no complaints, though they cannot deny that it was clearly discussed on Liveline.

Just one more thing .... when did they return that car
