I’ve owned Barnes and Maddison and looking forward to getting rid on wildcard next week.

If I HAD to pick one of those it would be Almiron. I’d have no problem owning him and starting him every week.

Ps, if you can afford Bowen I’d go for him

Do pool fans think Firmino will start on Wednesday? Fancy him for a haul over Nunez.

Ive gone Trossard but only as a placeholder for Foden/Saka, he will be a one game punt at home to Forest. Given there are only 5 GWs left until the World Cup and we get a free wildcard then anyway Id buy the player who you think will get you through GW12-16 best. Almirons fixtures of Eve, Spurs, Villa, Soton, Chelsea dont look too bad and his minutes look assured. Mount is back on form but he has the Champions League and Potter has already shown he will rotate when not expected as we all found out with James a couple of weeks back. If going Mount he may not play all 5 remaining games before the World Cup, if you've Pereira on the bench though he could come in.

Almiron or Zaha?? Both have decent fixtures for this GW.

I brought Mount in myself but on reflection someone like Bowen is better pick, the reason for me is that both Mount's goals were just two mistakes - Mings headed back to him, and then Martinez took two steps to the right in anticipation of where the ball was going. It's not like the freekick was in the corner or anything. Last season he did something similar i believe - got 24 points in a game and hardly did anything else all season.

Zaha - Almiron is too untrustworthy to have any invovlement in goals

Bella-Kotchap out as expected, but I'm not gonna bother taking a hit to get rid and will play with 9 players this week instead. Whoever I bring in would need to keep a clean sheet this week to make me a whopping net gain of 2 points, but also be someone I want from here until the break for the WC. They also have to be cheap enough that I can afford them! Not worth the hassle.

Are there doubts over Neco Williams? I see a lot of people are trying to offload him this week, will he not be getting a guaranteed 90 mins anymore.

Who is the best DEF to bring in for a few weeks? Money no object.

    I currently own Trippier + Doherty + a couple 4.5s

I'm looking at Robbo / TAA but I'm a bit apprehensive of going to Liverpool defence too soon, as they have not being performing so far this season, but the fixtures are nice. The Man City win might just be the turning point of the season.

Also would like to keep at that higher price point so that I can switch to Cancelo if needs be for GW14 onwards.

I've done same, Maddison - Trossard for (-4) then onto a rested Foden for 3 nice home games in 4 weeks.

Guelhi? Or even Jonny or Castagne fixtures are ok too.

Doubts around Serge Aurier so it's expected Neco Williams will get minutes, most likely start.

    I'd VVD myself.

Robertson has Tsimikas to take minutes off him and we were burnt earlier this season with him! TAA slight doubt so VVD be a nice differential I'd say and get Cancelo when you can.

Leicester two clean sheets from their last two home games

Castagne 3 clean sheets in a row (taken off with Clean Sheet points against Bournemouth)

Playing Leeds at home next (who have gone scoreless in two of their last 3 games) and Wolves who went scoreless 3 games in a row until their 1-0 win against Palace which was a penalty

Klopp said little to nothing about TAA today...

You presume he starts but I love the pure punt factor of going Nunez. Have to pick one, if had the cash I'd go both!

Have 11 without the above but Adam Armstrong is so unpredictable and Neco then too. But swapping for players also who may not be 100% nailed for hits.

Went with Maddison to Almiron, and Mings to Robbo.

The luxury of having 2 FTs came at the eye watering cost of having no Arsenal for the last couple of week 🙄

The plan then is Zaha to Foden/Saka next week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,639 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I have a feeling that Robbo is back now and that Klopp might try get to a settled defence in, as there has been a lot of changes recently. Give Tsimikas the CL game next week.

VVD / Gomez are nailed now for the next 2 weeks anyways. Gomez is only 4.5 so easily benchable and with the WC WC coming up in 16, he is not exactly tying up a spot either.

Yeah Castagne is defo an option alright and I have considered him.

The biggest 'con' against him I had was that Leeds created an xg of 1.86 against Arsenal 0.96 against Leeds so they seem like they could well be creating fine, just not finishing chances. Danny Ward has not exactly covered himself in glory this season in terms of saving shots.

This is the easiest week of the year to pick your starters/bench but the hardest so far in choosing captain

Late -4 for Williams to Gomez. Hopefully I'll get 2-3 weeks out of him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,481 ✭✭✭✭shmeee

Nice move, and 4.5m value pick and hopefully get to GW15 with him.

I am still on the fence for a -4. And it's driving me mad. It's TAA or Nunez in, both could have huge upsides but also risks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,481 ✭✭✭✭shmeee

Right, -4 taken; Armstrong to Nunez & Madisson to Mount.

    Ward

    Neco, Tripper, Webster, Doherty

    Mount, Zaha, Salah (c), Andreas

    Nunez, Mitro

    Iversen, Haaland, Martinelli, Cancelo

Come on now Nunez, I say he's about 65% chance of starting... About same chance as Adam Armstrong but not even sure how ended up with Armstrong in first place!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,639 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Decided to go with TAA in the end. 7.2, it's the cheapest it's been in a long time and there is a higher ceiling with him. Gomez & VVD more nailed for the next 2/3 GWs but more upside with TAA I think.

This suggests he is not as injured as originally feared

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,481 ✭✭✭✭shmeee

Was so close to going Neco to TAA for a -8. Was hovering over the button at 5.59pm.

Juts hope Neco starts and can at least get the 2 points!

Would have loved TAA instead of Gomez but it would have locked me out of moves for Foden and Saka next week.
