Door for open Shed

Don’t clad a hinged gate round a house. It’ll kill somebody. Put a roller door on and you’ll be finished with it

Ya those sheeted gates if they get opened in the wind can really fly. If get a lad to make something get the receipt for farm related work (which the shed is used for of course). Draw back the vat, put the work against the tax for a few years.

Be careful cladding a gate as it adds serious weight to it. It might be a better idea to get a frame especially fabricated that is designed to take the weight of the cladding, with correct hinges and bolting. You could clad it it timber which might look nice and would allow an element of the winded through it if spaced. A fully sheeted door or even a roller door can catch a lot of wind and can be dangerous in a storm. So the exposure of the site needs to be access, don't take any changes with safety. You would probably be look at circa €1,500 each for a roller shutter with "wind lock" to cover these openings.
