That is pretty much it. You ignore a congressional subpoena at your peril

So, TFG needs some clicks, hey, lets slag Jews in the US for not being faithful to him or something. TFG would have to be an Israeli citizen to be PM. I don't see that happening - Jared and Ivanka have the right, but not TFG.

    Anyway, TFG's unhinged yapping continues.

Further down the thread, the House GOP tweet is pretty interesting.

So Trump bascally has three options, testify, plead the 5th or else completely ignore Congress. Will this go down before the mid terms on Nov 8th, have they set a date yet?

just watched that, great viewing. Stone appears to be on coke in that video too, you can see the involuntary movements of his mouth, the chewing on his jaw. He also has what looks like roid rage which is common among those who abuse steroids. The lawyer spends a lot of the deposition baiting him and his roid rage prevents him copping that he is falling for it

He has another option of fighting his subpoena in court. History tells us this is the option he will take. No chance of him testifying before the midterms.

Firstly it is not cr@p .... unfortunately Americans only have 2 main choices ... the Democrats or the Republicans ... the latter has become the party of Trump stuck somewhere the right of the normal USA and about 25-50% to the left of the Republic of Gilead ... I do not see the Republicans of 'Gilead lite' undergo any change and even if Trump was not their 'leader' someone else like him would lead ..

Voters vote based on their current circumstances ... and independent voters are swayed by this and fail to think longterm ... in an ideal world the US would have more viable parties than just 2 ... in Ireland we have 3-4 ... the system there (US) is when one becomes unpopular the other wins ...

What has happened between then and now ... watch the news ... that stupid war in Ukraine and the resulting energy crisis and a threat of recession ... if Covid sunk Trump in 2020 this could do the same to Joe Biden ...

Even though Trump and the Republicans of Gilead lite will not answer problems .. they are actually the cause of most problems .. that will not stop stupid protest votes ... in an ideal world the Republicans do not deserve to be in government for a very long time and until they cleanse themselves of their racist and warmongering policies ... but America in general needs to reform itself because Democrats are not much better ...

So Trump has a very very good chance of winning in 2024 as it stands now ... that does not and hopefully not mean that circumstances will be favourable for him in actual 2024 ... the last thing the world needs is a second Trump presidency or a similar type guy ... from Iran to England, the international legacy of Trump is playing out when we see the chaos ensuing with events like Brexit related fallout continuing and guys like Ebrahim Raisi gaining power due to Trump's policies ... and shame on Biden for continuing with 90% of them!!! .. Trump has repercussions well outside his borders and we are paying for it now ... he is you can bet somehow involved in this Ukraine thing too as he will be the only winner from it if it goes on any longer ....

"if Covid sunk Trump in 2020 this could do the same to Joe Biden"

I think it is safe to say that this was not the only thing that sunk Trump!

"So Trump has a very very good chance of winning in 2024 as it stands now"

Based on what exactly? I doubt he will even be the republican candidte.

"Trump has repercussions well outside his borders and we are paying for it now ... he is you can bet somehow involved in this Ukraine thing too as he will be the only winner from it if it goes on any longer ...."

Regarding the bold part, what on earth are you talking about?

A lot has happened to Trump since the 2020 election. What makes you think independent voters will want somebody who was involved in the insurrection of the Capital back in the White House?

I'll ask you again. What has Trump done since 2020 to ensure that independent voters will want to go back to him? Sweet f*ck all. COVID might have lost him the election but his behaviour after that was that of a dictator, and when you consider independent voters cast their ballots based on what they see in front of them, then they won't go back to him.

So yes, it absolutely is crap to talk this bullsh*t about Trump getting back into the White House. Absolutely any other Republican probably wins the Presidential race in 2024 but Trump because there is no chance in hell that independent voters will vote for him.

Also, while Covid may have dropped off the radar, the reason Covid cost Trump the election - if one was to assume that was the only reason - is how Trump completely mismanaged it. What has Trump done to alleviate those voters that felt that Trump simply wasn't up to dealing with a crisis?

With respect, I don't think that the question of what Trump has done to capture the hearts and minds of independents is the most relevant one, or at least this is my fear. I agree that he's done basically nothing to convince independents, except to have pops at Biden, and I suppose hope that the diminishing memory of his own presidency would put him ahead, and that's only a maybe - I don't know if he had a plan in this respect at all.

But the worrying thing remains the Republican project to ensure that their candidates can win even if they have a clear minority of actual electorate support. Like, the idea that they could flip enough results in enough districts through some seriously dubious legal wrangling to get wins where they shouldn't have, and since they had four years since Biden got elected, they have time to install the right officials in the right places to make that happen, and the time to redraw the electoral districts to make that happen, and they have the time to restrict voting rights in just the right ways to make that happen. That is where the worry lies. Not in some long shot hope that independents' memories are that short.

If Trump runs in 2024 he will not win in a fair fight , simple as that. He will lose the popular vote by a massive margin.

Because the Electoral College is an utter nonsense and because the US is so Partisan like every US election, it will come down to a handful of States.

Places like Arizona , Pennsylvania , Wisconsin and a few others potentially.

If People like Kari Lake and (less likely) Doug Mastriano win the Governors office in their States next month then they will absolutely move heaven and earth to ensure that Trump wins the election in their State.

However , if the GOP don't win those keys positions in the swing states them Trump simply has no path to victory.

The State level results next month will have an absolutely massive impact on the potential outcome of a Trump 2024 campaign - So much so that if they don't get those pliable candidates through , Trump may not even run in the end.

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

And the likelihood is that he wouldn't even do the entirety of those six months.

I wonder if Trump would be tempted to take the prison sentence. He'd never see the actual inside of a cell and he'd get that extra edge with his supporters, like Malcolm X, only old, white, pasty, bloated, morally bankrupt and cowardly.

I hope you are right ... but I cannot see any Republican other than Trump, a son of Trump or a similar Republican of Gilead type Republican win the nomination ... Trump and Republicans in general have done damn all to earn the votes but all it takes is for enough people to be against the current admin for them to win ... and at present things are looking grim ...

I agree 100% Trump acted the dictator ... and all Republicans of Gilead types are the very same ... Ted Cruz, MTG, etc. ... the absolute cesspit of US politics ... dare I say it even someone worse than Trump can be found among them ...

Any sensible American would not vote for this outfit ... you are right that in theory no one should side with Trump or his many apologists which is 90% of the Republicans after Jan 6th ... but voters have short memories and will instead punish Biden for the high prices and poss recession ...

What we did not get to see and hear wrt this ...

Key moments from the Trump-Putin press conference - YouTube

Trump had he grudge against Ukraine because its president would not hand over some exaggerated dirt on the Bidens ... and the only winner from tghis war is Trump, other Republicans of Gilead and other Western far right turds ... we are beginning to see the bloody trend already ...

Fresh off his rant against Jews and his follow up that he can’t be racist against Jews because blacks are Jewish etc. Mr. Ye reportedly is into buying Parler, that other other mess of a right wing safe space that is the love child of Candace Owens.

Lauren Boebert tries to deny claim that she murdered her neighbors dog by letting it known that actually 2 dogs have been shot. Nobody in the comments believe her, a symptom of using Twitter to constantly all but lie about the color of the sky and denying scandalous truths about her husband already

a Utah newspaper asked Mike Lee and his opponent to submit dueling editorials on why they each should be elected.

his opponent sent a perfectly normal one in. Written in the first person.

Mike apparently presumed this was a right wing grift of some sort so he sent them in the article they expected them to “write” about him.

    they included his byline.

Walker confirms the cheque was one he wrote but insists the money was not for an abortion but money for 'the mother of his child'

The issue is the child he's referencing there was born a number of years After the cheque was written for the abortion.

And last night, Hershel ran out on America like he ran out on his kids.

Nice followup to the 'podium' comment: "Herschel Walker, exceeding expectations again!"

Playing armchair psychiatrist here, but Walker strikes me as someone who lives on anti-psychotic meds that will explode should the pressure get high enough. It's why he seems to disappear from public view pretty regularly and lives his past glories of being the big man on the UGA campus or in the USFL/NFL.

Well you know how it is in Congress. There are a lot of fringe lunatics the party courts because they decide they can just hide them in an office and roll them out for votes. Don't expect a Senator Walker to have served on a single committee. He's a manipulable vote, nothing else.

Reportedly Parler just leaked the email addresses of every one of its registrants in its attempt to announce the Kanye buyout

    image.png

It must be literal hell for a web browser to display that email header though.
