" GOP Rep. Liz Cheney laid out the committee’s case that former President Donald Trump was the “central cause” of the Jan. 6 riot during her opening statements for today’s hearing.

“The vast weight of evidence presented so far has shown us that the central cause of Jan. 6 was one man, Donald Trump, who many others followed,” Cheney said.

She continued, “None of this would have happened without him. He was personally and substantially involved in all of it. Exactly how did one man cause all of this? Today we will focus on President Trump’s state of mind, his intent, his motivations and how he spurred others to do his bidding. And how another Jan. 6 could happen again if we do not take necessary action to prevent it.”

She said: claims that Donald Trump believed the election was stolen are not supported by fact.

Essentially said that he said he would say it was stolen even before the election. And all his people advised him not to say it as the results came in but he said it anyway

wow the Secret Service knew there was an attack planned by militias on the Capitol as early as December 26th. This is a massive failure by the intelligence community, they saw all the online chatter discussing an attack on thedonald.win (created after r/thedonald got removed from Reddit) and yet they didnt do anything to prevent the violence
