Hello there. I’m considering doing a manual handling Instructor course. Cost about 600e is there many jobs opportunities with this. I can’t seem to find many jobs for it online but there’s many schools offering manual handling training courses for workers required by employers and health and safety in work place is becoming prevalent. Is this qualification more for people looking who are self employed or would any other courses compliment it when looking for a job in this area? Thank you

There wouldn't be a job full time in it if you are just starting out and that is all you can offer. Since COVID, some courses have gone virtual also - do the theory and send a video of you picking up a box for the assessment part.

It is a good course to have to compliment a current role - example if in construction industry or working in a company with a large number of staff. It would be more economical for an employer to have an 'in-house' manual handling instructor to train the staff than paying for individual courses.
