Came home from dunnes to the heating switched on for the first time.

Of course the radiators haven't been dusted since about Christmas so now we have that nice warm dusty aroma in the house ....one day I'll get my life sorted!

Still sticking to the summer duvets here. That compression bandages around my right leg is plenty warm.

Homeside here. Had my twice weekly trip to the hospital to get my wound (and leg) re-packaged. It’s healing nicely but it’ll bea while before I’m dancing on tables again 😉

I have just the one quilt that I use all year round - I stick bits of me out to cool down in the summer and have the extra, live furry blanket for the winter. I've also turned off the radiator in the bedroom and tend to have the bedroom window open most of the year, only closing it if the temperature dips well below freezing for days at a time.

Love me a cold bedroom with a fresh breeze blowing through it!

I lit the solid fuel stove for a while the last two days. When the shop told me how much coal was going up I invested in ten bags... And awaiting my neighbour delivering the turf on order. Intending to be snug. It heats the water and radiators too. Excellent system.

Sitting up with a coffee to grab a shower then drive to Belfast for an appointment. I was worried about sleeping in and couldn't so I'm up ridiculously early for the 1 1/2 hrs drive
