Suzuka is a fantastic circuit. Love racing there in Forza Motorsport 7.

    Morning lads.

Oh my look at all of that water on the track 😍

Great start from Max at turn 1!

Slow start for Max, but that was a bit mental at the fron for the first few turns.

Ferrari smashed up in the haze there.

    This is getting messy already.

    Safety car

Gasly with the snow plough there

Odd place for Gasly to have a sponsor

    "Call Mr. Plough,

    That's my name,

    That name again,

    Is Mr. Plough."

Vettel between a rock and a hard place there.

Says he got hit by Alonso but I think Seb went right, as left and that grass was going to bin him.

    Red flag. Boo...

FIA are taking the absolute piss with red flags lately. An sign of falling rain and the race is stopped.

Disappointing to get a red flag when a lot on inters

Very disappointing red flag. F1 gone hold my hand sport.

Sake!! Put them on the wets and get out there! This rain isn’t forecast to stop anytime soon!

Did they show a replay of what happened Gasly, I didn't spot it

Edit:I see now he got it from Sainz crash

What is the point of having wet tyres if they don't use them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 16,291 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Gasly is fuming.

Raging it's a red. I am in the airport and timing for flight was perfect to the end. Il miss finish now.

Man that was set up beautifully, Gasly in a potentially strong position if others decided to switch to wets, and a very mixed up field if people started diving into the pits behind the safety car, which could have circulated for a while and cleared the water, but as usual the FIA kill the race before 90% of the grid even bother switching off inters.

Looks like the hoarding came from Sainz’s crash? Very strange one that. Supposedly only 10 mins before we get going again, probably behind a safety car on full wets.

It’s proper bucketing it down all the same.

I know the red flag is a killer,

but seeing some of the onboard shots there is a bit mental, a few driving blind at times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,048 ✭✭✭✭PsychoPete

    Anyone else having Spa flashbacks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 31,461 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

I guess if they needed to bring machinery and marshalls on the track to clear the 2 cars in these conditions, red flag was needed

Yeah the Stroll one was mental.

But, surely they’re better off out in the track, even if behind the safety car, and trying to clear away the spray instead of letting it gather?
