With the test channel 5250 apparently confirmed to be for the Irish advertising region of Channel 4 HD, it's looking good for the appearance of the channel on the Sky EPG.

The UK regions are due to launch tomorrow, so we may see a Channel 4 HD/SD swap on 135 then.

CH4 have always been more open towards Ireland with the player etc. They obviously know an extra marketing opportunity when they see it.

FWIW, the Sky Community thread (which is good as gospel usually) hasn’t any indication of any EPG changes tomorrow other than the already announced closure of Spotlight TV.

Apparently it's now scheduled to happen on Tuesday 27th.

AFAIK FreeSat usually make any changes on a Tuesday. Some FreeSat boxes update overnight (Tue-Wed) so the changes don't appear until Wednesday unless manually forced.

Looks like the HD variant will replace the SD version on Sky epg 135 in ROI.

I think it is so they can block certain sports events. Silly I know.

I just tried there on SkyQ and all I'm getting is a blank blue screen and I have a sub and the HD pack.

Is this on an Irish Sky box with an Irish SKy Sub??

Supposed to be on the Epg at 135 from tomorrow, but I'm a little concerned as to why the test off the epg is still showing a blank blue screen, with less than 24 hours to go.

Update, CH4 HD ROI, now showing video and audio on the test off the EPG, so it looks all good to go for launch on Sky tomorrow.

Channel 4 Ireland HD was added to the Irish EPG yesterday on 135. And no HD Pack is required to view it. The SD version moved to 829

This will no doubt please alot of Sky customers who have being wanting this to happen since Sky launched here many moons ago. No more going to Other Channels to view access C4 in HD
