Outlet tap question

Hi

Can anyone tell me what this outlet pipe is for? It's connected to our underfloor heating and as shown in the photo has water dripping out of it. It's been installed about 2 years.

Most likely a poorly terminated condensate drain. But could be a pipe from the safety valve, so you need to rule that out.

Thanks for coming back to me. If it was a condensate drain would much water come out of it? There is a fair bit coming out of this.

What is your heating source? Does this water run 24/7?

It's a gas boiler. It doesn't drip the whole time but would have water coming out of it at times every day. Our heating hasn't been on since before summer (just our water heating).

you need to see where the pipe is coming from on the other side of the wall if it is coming from something that looks like above then it will need replacing

And if that is the problem, the expansion vessel will most likely need looking at too.

It's coming from inside the house where the underfloor heating is located. The boiler is in the shed so not related to that. Sorry should have added that in the start!!

You think you going to fix it yourself?! Get a Rgi plumber to check if out & service the boiler after.
