Right idea at the start on the pattern, but that opened just too many possibilities, probably would've been better off with a burner word hitting a few more common letters?

I've been staring at this on and off all day. Downgraded from hexpert to hard as I can't think of a single word. Burned a word and got confirmation I was on the right track. Still no idea where the track is going though. Deffo overthinking things at this point, wish me luck!
