    For once the receptionist was an actual champion, today. But I'll be having words with that bitch of a gp (refused point blank to make a home visit to my almost wheelchair dependent dad)tomorrow and be demanding an apology or I'll be taking it further.

    She made a bitchy comment about how I managed to get him to the Day Centre alright implying that I was making up the difficulty in getting a wheelchair accessible taxi! It took myself and the receptionist 2 hours between us to find one available tomorrow.The Day Centre have their own WA vehicle which is how Dad is able to go there.

    @Sardonicat , make a formal complaint , leave nothing out . That's atrocious behavior from the GP , especially when she knows right well your father was recently hospitalized. Unacceptable.

    Yea that's unacceptable, Sardi. My mam cared for her invalid mother too until she died and she has some stories about the battles she fought on her behalf so I can only imagine.

    Our gp surgery is gone to sh1t too but 100% the admin staff are holding the place together. I've witnessed them taking crap from the gp there. I discreetly told them i saw it and that it wasn't acceptable working environment.

    I'm lucky insofar as that my own GP surgery seems to be working fine, although they did have a significant turnover in doctors during the lockdown. But what you experienced today is just not acceptable, @Sardonicat . Someone needs to tear that b*tch a new one, ASAP!

    Tableside here, not quite sure what to do with myself...

    Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

    In fairness, our GP is great , it used to be the receptionists that were the problem in not wanting to put our mother in for a home visit, despite the GPs directive to do so !

    Anyhow, that pot of tea is there for anyone who wants it 😊

    They do have all the themed competitions, Christmas, Easter , Halloween etc .

    Actually, nearer to Halloween they have pumpkin carving competitions , on a massive scale . That is worth looking up as they are totally amazing!
