    What a dreadful decision to change my captain from Haaland to Jesus at the last minute. I knew Haaland would pick up some points but thought there was a chance Villa might chuck it against Arsenal and let in a good few to get Gerrard the boot.

    Ah well, c'est la vie. Great competition this. I actually think this is the furthest I've gone in the last 3 attempts :-)

    They can use their FH or WC to negate the hit though.

    WC rolls to GW8 and FH will be reinstated.

    But what has that got to do with anything?

    If everyone gets 0 points, as your proposing that tie break rule 3 is used and eliminate the lowest rank team?

    Secondly if you use the FH, you lose the players that you had brought it, and potential have price increase issues. It looks great on paper, but if you brought in players who have risen in price, and play FH, you might not be able to afford them afterwards.

    Agree with this but if GW8 goes as well do we go to eliminate 3 in GW9?

    If GW 8 goes, maybe eliminate 2 in GW 9 and 2 in GW10?

    I’m fine with this unless there is major objection. If there are proper objections then I don’t really have the power to go changing the rules mid-season against the will of the group.

    Well nobody is taking a hit in GW8. If you take a points hits in 8 and the gameweek is off, you are out, because you’ve knowingly and intentionally gained an advantage.


    Similarly, if anyone took their points hit after the FPL announcement today, it counts.

    But that doesn't make sense, people take hits to get ahead of price rises, if for instance I see someone is going to rise in price i want and take a hit next GW, and then weekend gets canned, are you saying that I would be knocked out. I don't see where the advantage is - as you'll suffer point loss in the league.

    If i take a hit now, and not play FH, are you saying that i could potentially be knocked out of this GW?

    My view is if you cancel anyone getting eliminated this GW because there are no games, you have to be consistent and do the same for next GW if games are cancelled, otherwise it's just unfair, and you'll have to go with tie break 3 rule, and eliminate the two lowest rank teams. How many people are going accept that ruling?

    It's something that I think should be clarified before this GW closes.

    What would you suggest would happen if you have one person on -4, and everyone else on 0 - do you eliminate no one, or two people (and one by tie breaker - which you would already know). I don't think you can just eliminate one person.

    Yeah basically that. The only reason to grant an amnesty outside the normal rules, would be in the case of a freak accident that people weren’t aware of (I can see why people might even have problems with this, but I’m ok with it if everyone else is).


    But if someone has intentionally taken a hit, they’re 4 points behind the group this week and out for sure (unless more than one people do, then it would likely end in a cointoss).


    Im open to the consensus of the group if we allow people who unknowingly took a points hit get away with it, but people who took one afterwards, it definitely counts.
