standing ticket prices in the USA

I'm heading to the states next month and am planning on going to one or two concerts. The ticket prices for standing tickets seem very expensive...sometime even more expensive that seated tickets. Anybody else have the same experience?

Ticketmaster US tends to use dynamic pricing a lot more than in Ireland, so the highest demand tickets (standing) will attract the highest prices.
