Flat stage with a punchy finish means Mads is favourite again but he has the points jersey in the bag so lets have a different winner please. As to the break (glances at PCS) it's fairly certain with just two lone riders out there that they won't be getting to the end so expect a sprint at the end. Might be some attacks on that short climb at the end. Could be an opportunity for Fred Wright.

Can see this been another dull stage watching the scorched earth go by. Peleton seem very relaxed and stretched out with along way to go. Im starting to think this hasnt been the best Vuelta in a good while

I suspect that will be corrected or Quickstep go ballistic. Remoc was cruising to the finish as if he had been told it was fine.

Nothing broken for Roglic according to Eurosport which is good for the race - he looked quite shook up after that.

Remco seemed very certain of the 3km rule applying & clearly rode very calmly to the finish

Just got to watch it now on gcn. Looks like Primoz made the error that caused it. Very unfortunate, the man is just cursed.

Just looking at the results, Primoz given the same time as the first four and Remco given the same time as the next 27 which was 8 seconds back.

The group after the first 30 or so was a fair bit back again.

Just after watching again and I'm calling shenanigans here. This is all a bit fishy from Remco. Doesn't look like he has a flat. Any possibility he was in mucho trouble and faked the puncture??? Difficult to tell from the screenshots but looking back at the video it doesn't look like he punctured. Actually if you zoom in it's pretty clear he has no puncture

Well that was some fkn drama!! Rog is cursed. That "Mechanical" definitely looks a bit iffy. Adam Blythe was thoroughly unconvinced, can't wait to see what Pat Lefevre has to say after a few vinos. If the original result had stood it would be absolutely fantastic chaos over the next few days.
